Pre-Reading:
They definitely have an interesting connection which I had to go and reference their birth charts for because I was pretty lost when it came to how they were actually balancing and influencing each other. Especially after I went back and looked at the Stray Kids group reading and saw that these two were projecting severe imbalance at one point and then pretty strong detachment I was curious to see if there was anything within their imprints that causes this.
The first thing that stood out to me was that Hyunjin is a Pisces with a Virgo Moon while Jisung is a Virgo with a Pisces Moon. This can actually lead to easy balance and understanding if they are both consciously trying to connect with each other, however, this can also lead to a very negative connection if one of them is insecure with themselves. As one person projects the other’s inner world (their Moon) through their Sun Sign, the other can almost feel subconsciously threatened by them or feel weirdly uncomfortable as they see their inner world, potentially things they are insecure about, being put out there in a way that makes them seem like assets that they themselves haven’t figured out how to use yet. It’s almost like being mocked by someone’s existence. It’s really interesting.
Not only that, but they have a lot of doubled up energies which is interesting to look at side-by-side. Their placements with Venus and Mercury (Hyunjin in Pisces and Jisung in Libra) can work well together, but if Hyunjin is the one who is carrying insecurity and feels threatened by Jisung, his Pisces energy would overcompensate there with his Sun and he would project that in a pretty negative way. In the group energy reading, Hyunjin was one of the ones that were shown to be projecting negative energy towards Jisung before completely detaching from him and taking on The Hanged Man, which is Pisces’ card.
In addition to that, they have things doubled up with their Jupiter and Saturn (Hyunjin in Taurus and Jisung in Gemini) as well as their Mars which both fall into Fire Signs (Hyunjin in Aries and Jisung in Leo).
They have these very strong energies that work together kind of pressing up against each other in odd ways that should be able to balance out pretty easily with conscious effort, but if there really is subconscious insecurity on one side, those placements can become points of tension.
With the cards, which is what made me want to look at their birth charts, there are interesting connections shown on an unconscious level. They have clear ports of energetic connection within the Soul (The Star), the subconscious mind (The Hermit), and their core energy (4 of Wands) which would be that interesting balanced opposition between Pisces and Virgo Suns and Moons. The conscious and physical connection is not there or is imbalanced as shown by the Ace of Pentacles in reverse.
This connection collectively falls into the Ace of Cups which centers around the emotions and subconscious energy, so what they are projecting towards each other or how they interact mostly comes through the emotions, not a lot of logic. This then leads to The Tower, the 9 of Swords, and then the 5 of Cups which are… not good cards, lol, at least not in this scenario. This is a pretty severe imbalance and a chaotic connection that is really settling into the subconscious mind of one person (9 of Swords) while the other focuses on their own insecurities (5 of Cups). Based on what I have so far and what I’ve gotten in other readings, I would assume it’s easy to figure out who is who in that situation.
The Reading:
Energetic Contributions To The Relationship:
Hyunjin: Knight of Swords (rev.) | Jisung: The Empress
I thought this was very, very interesting considering what I got with the energy reading and then what came up with the imprinting in their birth chart. They mirror each other with Virgo and Pisces, one of the most polaric oppositions in the zodiac — the body and the physical reality against the soul and perception out of time and space. As individuals, this polarity is present in the aspect of the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine. Everyone has both qualities, however, naturally, as people go through life and experience things as a human being with a superficial awareness, they start to lean more towards one than the other. It can be balanced within one’s self and then their aspects can be balanced with another, but there needs to be a lot of self-awareness already on the table in order to really do that.
Basically, Jisung, The Empress, is leaning way more into his Divine Feminine energy, his more receptive and intuitive energy, which may be why he is so sensitive and takes on so much of what’s going on around him or what is being projected towards him. No one actually has to say anything to him, he can just feel it. He’s very much so in the realm of his Pisces Moon. With the upright Empress, however, it’s almost like he chooses to be open and receptive for the sake of other people’s feelings, very Virgo of him, presenting himself as a nurturer to people. Therefore he’s just susceptible on all levels to people coming at him consciously or energetically, whether it be with negative or positive intentions. Feels like a martyr in a way.
Virgo and Pisces, when imprinted, share a common sense of purpose and duty towards other people. Virgos want to help you get your life right, help you work, help you be a better person, and Pisces want to help you heal and expand within your soul and your consciousness. When consciously balanced, that shit can build entire universes, but when it’s left to simply spin together with no form or direction, they oppose each other. So, as he leads with the conscious imprint of a Virgo Sun with the inner workings of a Pisces, he’s basically torturing himself by letting people make him feel bad until he gets really annoyed, and then he’ll go dark-water fish and have an emotional outburst of some kind that leads to a “reset” in the system. It’s strange, but it makes sense, I suppose.
On the other hand, you have Hyunjin who really does seem to have a sense of insecurity and instability within his own energy. With the Knight reversed it’s like he’s trying very hard to push himself into the Divine Masculine. Just for reference, Pisces and Virgo both carry magnetic charges, or feminine charges, which means those imprints lend to receptivity and ports for higher awareness and can bring a lot of emotions and amplify aspects of the Moon and Venus. So, it’s an issue of masculinity, and he may naturally just be an emotional person but has a personal view of himself as not being someone who should be emotional or sensitive. So, when he looks at Jisung who is projecting more magnetic energy while also projecting aspects of Hyunjin’s Virgo Moon through his Virgo Sun, he feels threatened. And because he’s pushing his receptive aspects down, he may not even allow himself to fully address or process why he feels threatened by him, he may not even say to himself that he feels threatened by him. It’s more like he would just take it as Jisung being someone he doesn’t like, and he just kind of projects his insecurities onto him, AND IT’S VERY EASY FOR HIM TO DO THAT because Jisung is receptive and open to taking that on for other people, while also literally projecting the mirror of Hyunjin’s Moon where his insecurities are.
How They See Each Other:
Hyunjin: Ten of Cups (rev.) | Jisung: Death
Again, very interesting.
Hyunjin seeing Jisung as the reversed Ten of Cups really says a lot. The Ten of Cups is absolute emotional fulfillment, it is every aspect of your wants and needs being met, and feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness and harmony. Hyunjin is seeing the direct opposite of that in Jisung. The reason this is so interesting is that you can get lack-mentality, sadness, and emptiness from other cards in an upright position. The Devil, 5 of Pentacles, 3 of Swords, The Tower, anything, but the Ten of Cups came out in reverse specifically to show that this is a distorted perception.
Pretty much, the reversal of the Ten of Cups is in reference to the “reversal” of Hyunjin’s Moon to Jisung’s Sun. As I mentioned, it’s like he sees things that he’s insecure about being utilized by Jisung in ways that make them seem like assets, but rather than admitting that he’s jealous, or insecure, or threatened by this, he projects that insecurity and pretty much flips that Ten of Cups card over for himself. So, subconsciously, he sees Jisung as the 10 of Cups upright, he sees Jisung as someone he wishes he could be, but because of the ego, because of the insecurity, his perception is running through his Pisces Sun, so more in line with the dark-water fish of Pisces, the distortion, the deep and heavy emotional perspective, he does not allow himself to see that positive aspect in another person. In his mind, the Water, the feminine, the receptive, the magnetic energy is not right in him, therefore he can’t allow himself to see it as being right in anyone else.
Jisung sees Hyunjin as Death. This was confusing for me because usually, Death carries a very specific tone with it, and a lot of times I’ll be able to read the Death card exactly the same in all of my different tarot decks in spite of the artists’ differing interpretations. However, with this card, I kept seeing the Rider-Waite version of Death in my head, then on the head of the skeleton in that card, was the head that is featured here on the Linestrider Death card. Everything was the same except the head in the Rider-Waite version, and the triangle that is over the head in this card here was spinning as if it were a triangular prism of glass and as it spun around the head, it would flash the skull between black and white and color.
I wasn’t fully grasping it, but basically, what it came down to was the fact that Jisung is aware of something not quite matching up with Hyunjin. It’s like his actions don’t match his expression, or his actions don’t match his thoughts. In the Rider-Waite version of Death, Death himself is on a horse standing over dead bodies while a man begs for his life, or for his family’s life. This actually isn’t as negative in meaning as it seems, but if you’re just looking at it superficially, it looks pretty scary. So, Jisung is seeing that. He’s seeing this scary image superficially, seeing Death riding in on his white horse in his black armor, saying things or doing things that are “scary” or intimidating, but on a more intuitive level, subconsciously, through that deeper connection where there is potential for strong balances between him and Hyunjin, he’s seeing this flashing face, this conflict in identity or way of thinking.
Definitely NOT trying to imply anything, but just as an example, it’s kind of like when a gay guy is really insecure with his sexuality, which can be for many, many different reasons, so he goes out of his way to come off really masculine, will play all the sports, and will be blatantly homophobic and bully other guys who are physically weaker or who are more feminine in their traits. It’s like they’re screaming out, “HEY! See how mean I am to these guys! See how much I hate them? I hate them so much so I surely can’t be one of them! No way!” And it’s like, most people nowadays can recognize that the guy is overcompensating for his insecurity towards his sexuality, but a lot of times the guy himself will have absolutely no idea how obvious he is being or even understand that the reason he’s doing all of that is that he’s insecure. Guys like that do not allow themselves to “feel insecure” because that in itself is a “weakness,” so… they feel it, but they just don’t let themselves know that they’re feeling it. That’s how the ego can really fuck with your awareness and perception of yourself.
SO, that’s kind of what Hyunjin is doing, but it’s covering something emotionally and in relation to how he might be more sensitive emotionally and have thoughts or perceptions towards himself that say it’s not okay for him to be that sensitive. Jisung is seeing that he’s aware of it, but something about the way it was shown to me makes me think that Jisung isn't really aware of what he’s seeing. Something doesn’t look right, something doesn’t feel right, but he doesn’t know what it is exactly, thus keeping this weird opposition in place.
Current State of Relationship: Ace of Swords (rev.)
Definitely not surprised to see this for their current state of the relationship. The Ace of Swords in reverse is all about poor communication and that lack of clarity that comes from that poor communication. In addition to them not having solid or good communication, this can also pertain to their perception of each other, a distorted vision, a distorted way of processing what they observe in each other.
The word “lies” keeps coming up in my head, and I think that kind of sums everything up. Just between the two of them, everything is a lie. Everything is distorted and imbalanced, poorly communicated and poorly processed. They’re lying to each other and lying to themselves in multiple ways and it’s all happening through the ego and the subconscious mind, which is difficult to combat when you are lacking self-awareness and have one side that is insecure and another side that is emotionally willing to take a beating.
Highest Potential of Relationship: The Fool
Uh, well… just start over, lol.
That’s literally all The Fool is saying here. They just need to start over. They both need to completely clear their perception of each other, wipe out all of their thoughts and feelings towards each other on every level, maintain integrity, and then re-introduce themselves to each other with the intention of understanding the other. They really could balance well with each other, their imprints are set up for them to do so, but they would have to clear the ego and subconscious pollution in order to do it. Deadass, just start over.
