NOTICE:
Just due to the fact that what seems to have come out here in this reading has a lot to do with personal matters between Jimin and Jeongyeon, I suggest taking this reading with a grain of salt. Usually, I don’t like to put anything out that may go against with what the people in the readings choose to share publicly, but I also don’t want to feel like I’ve wasted my time with this reading, and honestly, this was just really interesting and a lot of people had requested it, so… you know, keep it chill, I guess. Don’t use anything here as a backbone for drama or anything like that. It’s just a reading, it’s just an interpretation of projected and residual energy.
Pre-Reading
So, this whole situation is weird as hell honestly. When I got the request for this reading, I had no idea what kind of drama there was between Jimin and Jeongyeon, but apparently a lot of people are very very interested in it. There are more than a few videos compiling moments between them where they interact in what seems to be a less-than-friendly manner, and really, I got some weird vibes immediately while watching them. Because I was actively TRYING to read, trying to observe how that energy was moving in them and around them in those moments, I started getting some very clear and sharp visuals with it that had me like, “No, I’m way off with that, that’s not right, can’t be.” But seriously, this is kind of wild.
It’s going to be a bit hard for me to really get things straight and concise between these two because, 1) there are some things that really put this stuff into a context that is well past the line of projection, so I can’t really share it, and 2) there’s really not a lot of input on either side outside of those moments where they’re at least within a 10-meter radius of each other. Because of all that, I’m going to speak as freely as possible, but also, I encourage you to view this reading as a little gossip blurb on page 23 of your favorite childhood teen-drama magazine from 2003. Really trying to save my ass here, LOL.
So, first off, I’m pretty sure they were dating at some point, or were romantically involved in one way or another. That could literally just equate to them having crushes on each other or something. It could be a one-sided thing as well. This is just an energy signature, so the specifics aren’t extremely clear. There’s a good chance that Jeongyeon thought they were dating or misinterpreted a close friendship with Jimin. This was years ago though. I’m sure it was long before either debuted. I don’t know where they were before that, like where they would have met, but there was something going on there.
It was a short-lived and kind of messy, emotionally, and mentally messy for both sides. There’s a lot of confusion and tension lingering there with all of it, and it affected, and still affects Jeongyeon a lot more than it affected Jimin. Right now, Jeongyeon is still holding some very harsh, deeply rooted grudges against him, but it’s not quite as solid as you would expect it to be between a boyfriend and a girlfriend who had a messy breakup. It’s much deeper with her, it’s very subconscious. Quite literally, it’s like it’s repressed and only when Jimin or BTS are brought up, or in her face is she “triggered” enough to start projecting. It has to be the right conditions for it, she has to feel trapped and forced to engage in that conversation or be in that space. If there is enough distance and enough leeway for her to just step back from it, she will. If not, she protects her vulnerable emotions, those wounds by projecting, making it obvious that she doesn’t like Jimin, doesn’t like BTS.
So, Jeongyeon is a Scorpio, and I could really feel some of the most detrimental aspects of Scorpio Suns and Moons spewing from her in some of those clips. Specifically, she is a Feminine Scorpio, a Scorpio with traits that lend to her being more likely to really project her dominance in order to protect herself, versus a Masculine Scorpio who usually protects themselves by being quiet and secretive, blending into the background and being mindful of who they share things with. Feminine Scorpios scare the hell out of me because when they have been hurt, when they feel that they have been taken advantage of in some way, they come back with defense you wouldn’t even believe. You wouldn’t even see it coming. Feminine Scorpios can be so horrifically strategic with their emotional and psychological manipulation, they can slink back into the shadows physically and start puppeteering everything from the background just to seek revenge in a dramatic way.
That is in Jeongyeon as a Feminine Scorpio, a Feminine Scorpio who did not have the opportunity to seek revenge and therefore can not completely drop those wounds. Instead, she represses it and then they re-open in those “forced” situations. In those moments, because she’s “out in the open,” “exposed” in a way, she really does put on a show with those faces and blatantly showing she doesn’t like them, or Jimin because that’s how she overcompensates from what she’s feeling in that moment. She’s not gonna let anyone know she’s feeling attacked in that moment, and the only way she knows to do that is to “attack” the other side, make faces at the other side, mock the other side in some way. This is how she leans into her Divine Masculine energy, actually. Not Masculine Scorpio, just her individual polarity, meaning she’s actually quite balanced and stable within herself, but there’s just something in these moments that really throws her from one side to another, one extreme to another.
She just has to have prominent Fire placements in her chart with how cleanly and deliberately she can project that dominance. Like, Feminine Scorpios can really command their space and people around them, but she goes beyond that. Obviously, as you can imagine, it’s not really the best match when you have someone so excruciatingly sensitive and dominant being with someone, whether platonic or romantic, who is, or at this time was so excruciatingly sensitive and submissive the way Jimin was.
It’s interesting though. Between them, with these energy signatures regarding this relationship, Jeongyeon resonated as the more dominant one when it came to physicality, mentality, and energetic projection. However, Jimin was dominating the space of the subconscious space. If you’ve read his Elemental Alignment reading, perhaps you can guess why.
I’ve talked before about Jimin’s cycles and how he can unintentionally sweep people up into them, and it was no different here with this relationship. In terms of how Jimin’s cycles affect Jeongyeon, it was very similar to how it affects Kook now, except, because of the opposition and tension between Jimin and Jeongyeon that was already there, there was a lot more mental and emotional strain and exhaustion. One of the things about Jimin, and Libra Suns and Moon in general on occasion, is that you have to be willing to move with them, work with them, to avoid an imbalance happening in the relationship that can put the power and control too much on either side. For Jeongyeon, someone who wants to dominate and be in control on all these different levels, you can imagine the internal chaos that could have ensued when she started getting yanked into Jimin’s cycles.
Keep in mind, this was years ago. They were both very young, even more lacking in self-awareness and emotional understanding. There’s this sort of “open spot” in the energy signature where it feels like this lack of self-understanding is what actually got them together. It’s like they both felt very unsure of themselves, insecure in one way or another, and they met, talked about that, and bonded over it. It was a fast and deep connection, rooted in the emotions, not a lot of logic. On Jeongyeon’s end, on the end of someone who carries that “me against the world” mentality, feeling understood and validated by another person really hit her and her eyes, or on her side within her energy, she was taking this like a soulmate kind of thing. As I said, it could have just been more of a crush thing, like it didn’t turn into more than that, but I think Jimin played into it, or reciprocated it to a certain extent but there doesn’t seem to be a reason as to why. There’s not really that same level of connection, or perceived connection on his end. I think he did like her, but there was a very big difference in how deep that “like” went on both sides.
Back to Jimin and Kook’s relationship for a second. Jimin’s mental space can be so submissive that he has to have something to counterbalance it, and that comes through with how Kook will literally keep himself in the state of a child so that Jimin feels like he is the one in charge, he is the caretaker. In one way or another, this is the exact same dynamic that plays out in all of his positive, beneficial, and balanced relationships. He needs to, in a sense, be given permission to be in charge in a certain space, and that requires the other side to really understand him, and requires them to want to balance with him. From what I can see, it seems more like Jeongyeon, because of her age and insecurity at that time, was much more focused on the fact that he understood her than she was concerned with coming to understand him. Therefore, she was not up for balancing or compromising, bending to connect with him as he does the same. This extends into her current state. It’s more refined and not so blatantly disregarding the other side. I think when she truly cares about someone, friends, family, even work partners, she will balance, but for her own sense of emotional safety, she has to have the upper hand to some extent.
For Jimin, his ups and downs, that “Dark Sun / Light Sun” thing of his, is a very “dominant” part of his personality, so when that started showing up in him, Jeongyeon, who is very sensitive, intuitive, analytical as a Scorpio would be, she may have gone into immediate defense mode and assumed that Jimin was trying to manipulate her. It’s difficult to explain because I’m just reading signatures so it’s coming up kind of extract, but basically, it’s like consciously she could see these ups and downs being displayed, but subconsciously she could FEEL herself being pulled with him and she consciously interpreted this as some kind of emotional or mental attack simply because she couldn’t see what she felt… does that make sense?
From there, she really felt pressured, forced into a situation, very out of her control, and therefore turned up that projection, started pushing back specifically while Jimin was in a “Dark Sun” state, a low state, a sad state, an emotionally vulnerable state. Basically, he was sad, he was making her sad by being distant and detaching, she assumed that was some kind of manipulation because she was starting to feel some type of way, and then she started to “fight back” emotionally or mentally.
Jimin’s cycles can be triggered by severe insecurity and self-hatred, so he can start seeking validation more and more right when he’s about to slip into the Dark Sun mode. He can start asking more and more if he looks okay, if he sounds okay, if he’s doing well. He’ll do it over and over again just because he’s starting to have harsher thoughts about himself and he’s seeking some kind of reinforcement to keep him from falling. For Jeongyeon who, at this time at least, was really keeping an eye out for the worst intentions in people, interpreted this as Jimin trying to get her to praise him. He was, but she was taking it as him trying to get her to admit that he’s better than her specifically, and therefore Jimin’s own insecurity and how he displays it was seen by her as a personal attack, especially because, with Jimin’s cycles and how they dictate the dynamic of his relationships, she was actually FEELING it.
It’s really weird and extreme, but remember, they were kids. They were teenagers. Somewhere between 14 and 16.
The lower half of Jimin’s cycles, the side that affects him more negatively, will always affect the person that is closest to him energetically, the one who is closest to him emotionally, that person will be pulled along with him. Because of that, that person HAS TO be able to either move with it or know how to take care of him. As someone who prefers to be more dominant, more in control, and is more emotionally guarded and seemingly not too into being openly vulnerable, Jeongyeon couldn’t do either of those things and instead started pushing Jimin back. Basically, this really made them both dislike each other. They were both, unknowingly and unintentionally, hitting each other where it hurts most.
Jeongyeon felt like she was being manipulated and taken advantage of while Jimin was having his self-hatred validation, he was being made to feel smaller than he was. He also had a lot of deeper insecurities around masculinity at this time, so obviously, Jeongyeon projecting dominance while he’s mentally, emotionally, and energetically in a lower place, things just really were going sour. This whole situation, which happened very quickly, just ripped it all apart.
Remember, Jeongyeon was really into this connection because she felt understood, and for her, even engaging in the relationship was a big step. Subconsciously she felt Jimin was a soulmate, and here he is seemingly doing what she expects only her enemies to do. Same for Jimin, just without the soulmate bit. So, for Jeongyeon, even now, she holds onto this, she holds a grudge for this situation, because she feels like she was cheated in a game, she feels like she lost a game. She lost her control, she wasn’t able to see the “truth,” and she wasn’t able to maintain dominance.
Energetically speaking, emotionally for sure, and maybe on a conscious level, they really screwed each other over here and nothing good came out of it. The beginning was really good, they really clicked together, but it was never a full-blown romantic relationship. Because of how she holds this, you’d think this was a ten-year-long fling, but it really spans over such a short amount of time, I don’t think they were really fully connected for more than a few months, maybe even less than that.
From what I can tell, Jimin is very very detached from this, like he holds none of it, he doesn’t care, he’s beyond it. However, Jeongyeon is holding a grudge because she really, really believes Jimin was trying to manipulate her, trying to make her admit and believe that he was better than her. So, now, she sees Jimin like a “snake in the grass,” who’s just hiding who he really is from other people. She thinks the sweet, caring, and considerate Jimin is a fake, therefore all of BTS is fake, and therefore she hates them… but only when these feelings are triggered by people very specifically pointing out how much they like BTS or Jimin, when BTS or Jimin are being praised. Any other time, it doesn’t register.
So, the set shown here is mostly from Jeongyeon’s point of view which I had to lean into a bit more as, quite literally, Jimin doesn’t care, there’s not a lot of residual energy in him around this situation. It shows a beginning, middle, and end of this connection and how she saw it, played into it, and how it settled into her and found a place to stay emotionally and mentally.
At the beginning there, The Lovers is that, “Oh my god, you’re my soulmate, you totally get me.” The Sun is all that happiness, this explosion in the heart of joy and contentment around having someone that wasn’t an enemy or a potential enemy. And then the Ace of Wands was that spark, that very quick and snappy relationship just coming up out of nowhere.
The next set is The Devil, the 8 of Wands, and the 10 of Wands. This is where that domineering energy came in on her end. Again, this is not so much what it was, it was what she interpreted it as. She thought Jimin was trying to manipulate her. She saw Jimin as The Devil, which is interesting because I always make a big deal about how the two people, a version of Adam and Even from The Lovers, a card that mirrors The Devil, are chained by the neck to the Devil’s pedestal, but the chains are super loose. They feel like they are being controlled by The Devil, but really, that’s just a statue and they’re staying there as an excuse for their own bad behavior. In a similar fashion, Jimin was not manipulating her but she felt like she was, it was a clouded perspective.
So, because she saw Jimin as The Devil, she had to be The Devil right back, she had to climb up on that pedestal and throw back that same domineering energy, which is what those 8 Wands are, flying down from Jeongyeon’s position up there. In her mind, Jimin was throwing something back, but he wasn’t. In reality, Jimin was the 10 of Wands. He was already carrying alot of his own pressure and low perception, so when she threw those wands down, threw that domineering energy at Jimin, he just took it and it weighed him down even more, much like the man in the 10 of Wands. From the outside looking in, it seems one-sided, but from her perspective, this was an equal war.
The third set, the “end” of this situation, is actually Jimin’s point of view, or not really his view on it, but more of what Jeongyeon saw of Jimin in this situation. I think that’s interesting as well since the “end” of it is all about Jimin, who is currently detached from it, and doesn’t really include any of her own influence. Basically, it’s like right away, right away she knew this wasn’t over for her, she knew she was going to hold a grudge.
So, the 9 of Swords, 3 of Swords, and 10 of Swords really show a very clear, very conscious, superficial, easily observable mental breakdown. She may have unintentionally triggered something quite heavy in Jimin that goes past what his normal “low points” bring about in him and that is what she saw, and that is what she holds onto. However, she doesn’t hold onto it in the way you might thing. I had this image in my head of an older kid bullying a younger kid, and then that younger kid starting to cry. The older kid is freaked out about it, really uncomfortable, scared even, but they think the little kid is only pretending to cry to get them to stop, or to get them in trouble. More manipulation.
That little kid crying would be the 9 of Swords in Jimin. Based on what else came up in this reading, I would assume he was the one that really detached and called everything off. He was the one to walk away, which only annoyed her more as that was something else she didn’t have control over. She was still “playing a game,” and trying to win and he just tapped out. It doesn’t make a lot of sense, but she’s a feminine Scorpio, and when a feminine Scorpio is hurt, there really ain’t any sense to make, everything is just filtered through that pain.
So, Jimin walking away, disconnecting from her was the 3 of Swords, the 10 of Swords was like the self-awareness of the breakdown in the 9 of Swords. Like, once he was alone again he could see what the issues were within himself around that particular situation, and there was a separate “breakdown” but it was a more literal breakdown of those foundations in that relationship, meaning, as the card would suggest, he completely killed it off. He held onto none of it. The 2 of Wands is like his redemption. Visually, I was seeing the wand that the man is holding as Jimin’s own situation, his own focus, and the wand behind him that he’s turned his back on being the Ace of Wands from the first set. Again, this is from Jeongyeon’s point of view, so she saw Jimin’s “Light Sun” mode, his upswing from that low point, as being something to very deliberately turn his back on her. Which it was, obviously, but she took a lot of offense to it and it made it seem even more unbelievable to her that he could go from the 9 of Swords to the 2 of Wands, which is pretty typical for Jimin, having those high highs and low lows.
The Reading
Current State Within The Relationship:
Jeongyeon: The Star (Reversed) | Five of Pentacles
This is why I don’t want people hating on her or getting all snippy about this nonsense. She really did like Jimin and she felt genuinely cheated by this whole experience. That whole dominance thing of hers, she’s very aware of it. People in her life have probably pointed it out to her many times. But at the end of the day, that’s who she is. Just as much as Jimin needs people who can understand him, she needs people who can understand her, work with her, move with her so that weird toxic shit like this doesn’t happen. She’s older now, so it’s probably something she can keep in check with people she’s close to now, but that doesn’t take away what she SAW and what she FELT back then. The whole time I was in her projected energy now around this issue, I kept hearing her say, “I was cheated, he cheated me.”
The Star showing up in reverse here is that “low-blow” feeling that came from the “fall” of The Lovers into The Devil, the fall of soulmates into enemies. It’s like the stars fell from the sky, the sky fell, reality collapsed, what she believed about this connection collapsed. The Universe played a cruel joke on her. That’s how she feels about it. The 5 of Pentacles relates to a sense of both physical and spiritual poverty. This can reflect that sense of losing a friend but also losing something she found The Sun in, found hope in.
Current State Within The Relationship:
Jimin: The Moon (Reversed) | The Sun
Oh, the symbolism here. The Dark Sun and the Light Sun.
All that he has left in this relationship is residual energy from his own cycle. That was the most significant thing that he felt in that situation and time frame so, unfortunately, he associates this relationship entirely with aspects of a very very severe Dark Sun mode. Everything else, even the happy stuff, is gone. He tore it all out, collapsed it with the 10 of Swords in order to restabilize himself. The Moon reversed is The Dark Sun and The Sun is just, well, the sun.
I actually talked about it in his Elemental Alignment and his and Jungkook’s relationship reading, how Jimin can actually be very unaware of the Dark Sun mode, or that phase once its over. He can detach from and operate as if it never happened, repress it completely. So, that’s what he did here, but he did on a completely different level, like way more extreme. He didn’t just repress the situation, he very deliberately and consciously RIPPED IT OUT OF HIMSELF. So much so that his energy signature is weak around it. He basically ripped the past apart because of how hurt he was in that moment.
Honestly, that video where she sings over Spring Day really loudly and in an almost mocking manner, it’s like she was trying to get his attention because she is overly aware of how detached he actually is. She was still trying to play the game, trying to regain some level of control, even if that control was to belittle BTS as a whole and get his attention. I feel the need to keep reiterating this because it’s just being repeated in my head over and over again. Jimin doesn’t resonate with any of this anymore. He holds none of it. When I say he collapsed the past, ripped the experience out of himself, I’m not even kidding. There are conscious memories of it, but there is nothing tying him to the situation anymore, and it’s FEELS like it never happened.
Jeongyeon's View of The Relationship: 3 of Swords
I mean, yeah…
It’s heartbreaking on an emotional level, it was painful. She felt cheated, and betrayed, and abandoned to some extent. She chose to be vulnerable with someone and the was swept up into a situation where she felt like that was being used against her. She’s holding a grudge, and in terms of the traditional meaning and image of the 3 of Swords from the Rider-Waite deck, she has those memories stabbed into her heart, rooted in her subconscious, and that shit can be triggered. It can be brought to the surface and she’ll start pushing back just like she did then.
Jimin's View of The Relationship: Queen of Wands
Again, it’s not on his mind at all. It doesn’t have any effect on him whatsoever.
The Queen of Swords is the card that Jimin always gets in readings whenever he is in control of himself and in a good place overall. Here, with the Queen of Wands, it’s like the Fire — Fire is associated with Wands — is being fueled by the Air energy of the Queen of Swords. It’s like he’s very clearly detached from this emotionally, mentally, and spiritually detached from this, and that would just guarantee a physical detachment as well.
Don’t get it twisted though, he’s not blind to her. She’s not invisible. He can throw that shade right back, just as we can see in some of those videos. He’s just quieter about it. He’s not trying to fight or play the game, he’s just responding to what she’s doing. This sounds kind of awful, but it’s like if and when he does come across her, she serves as a reminder of how far he has come. Like, as the Queen of Wands, a bossed up version of that 2 of Wands, he is looking down on her, stuck in the past.
Very similar to Jeongyeon, he doesn’t think about her unless she’s right in front of him. The only difference between them is how much each of them holds of this relationship, and how much of that hurt they project at the other.
Current State of The Relationship:
Strength (Rev.) | Nine of Swords
Yeah, there’s literally nothing here.
There is no energy here at all, there is literally nothing. The only reason that 9 of Swords isn’t a full 10 of Swords is that Jeongyeon still holds onto bits and pieces, but once she lets go of that, there will be absolutely no ties there at all. Absolutely nothing.
Highest Potential of The Relationship:
10 of Swords | 10 of Pentacles (Rev.)
And there we go.
The only positive direction this could take is for that line between them, that past situation to be 100% cleared and cut with the 10 of Swords, and the only way that can happen is if Jeongyeon stops thinking about how good it was at the very beginning, and how bad it was at the very end, and takes some advice from Jimin and just rips it all out of her and moves on. The complete demolition of this connection is the only positive outcome that can be reached for both of them.
That’s all I got for this one, thanks for reading!
