I know people talk about this a lot, but I don’t fully understand why people think this is a huge massive deal. It’s not like BigHit is “HIDING” anything. If that was the case they would HIDE shit by literally keeping them separated at all times, like full on, not just in behind the scenes videos and photos that are meant to be more private and personal to them (which is what most of the exhibition is). The exhibition was not a complete fanservice overload, they weren’t specifically set up to fuel ships. They’re just showcasing them as people. People. Not ships.

Taehyung and Kook have never really struck me as the kind of people to want to take a bunch of selfies together or play up any part of their relationship for the camera, but that’s what a lot of people want them to do and that CAN make people uncomfortable. Than CAN make them not want to engage in fanservice photos or it CAN make the company not want to feature them like that as they know it makes them uncomfortable and can cause rifts in personal relationships… just saying.

The first card I pulled was the 4 of Pentacles and I got it when I asked why BigHit would want to hide Taehyung and Kook in any way and this was like protection. Literally, they do try to allow the guys to maintain some level of privacy and control over what is shown and what isn’t. There’s also a sense of security in maintaining the image of the group from a while back that still carries through to now that has to do with Kook being underage at the time but being portrayed to be involved sexually with Taehyung. They are protecting them, their image, and their privacy. Or at least attempting to. 

The bottom two photos are where Taehyung and Kook are in this and it’s literally that they show you what they want to show you. They, as people, do not exist fully for your entertainment and neither does their relationship, however, they do share with you what they feel comfortable sharing for the sake of keeping up with ~fanservice~, you know that GIANT OBLIGATION THAT INFLUENCES HOW THEY ACT AROUND EACH OTHER WHENEVER A CAMERA IS ON. 

Obviously, things can get a bit rocky when every selfie you post with someone is immediately captioned with “boyfriends” and sparks debate over whether Kook is fucking Jimin or Taehyung…………… like? Taehyung and Kook are different together than they are with others because they are actually very, very close to each other. Literally, like brothers and that kind of stuff can make things uncomfortable between brothers who don’t really… vibe with that, as I’m sure you can imagine, so they don’t showcase their relationship constantly or as often as the others. BUT THEY STILL GIVE YOU SHIT ALL TIME IN VIDEOS SO WHAT’S UP??
