How do strangers see Jin?
Lol, just want to make a note real quick that Jin’s energy is really weird right now.
As for how strangers would see Jin upon first meeting with no prior knowledge of him, the first card out was the reversed 7 of Swords which really confused me because along with the next pair, The Moon and the 3 of Wands, it was painting this picture of Jin somehow “breaking character” or going against what they would assume Jin is supposed to be. However, the whole point of the stranger readings is to show how people who have no prior knowledge of a person sees them upon first meeting, so what expectations is this talking about? I came to the conclusion that it’s based on his appearance. They first notice his look, his face, his handsomeness, and maybe perceive a sophisticated, almost regal, and authoritative person (as shown with the Moon’s beauty and the 3 of Wands stability of power) but then Jin pulls his funny man, playful, wild Sagittarius shit and these people are left genuinely confused. Basically, without any prior knowledge of Jin, some people think his personality doesn’t match his face.
More specifically, with the reversed 7 of Swords, they think Jin is actually putting on an act or tricking them with his more boisterous personality. I don’t know how to explain it fully as I’m seeing it, but there’s a lot of emphasis being put on the fact that they are focusing on his face and believing his face more than they are believing his words or actions. It’s like even after they get to know him a tiny bit, they will still believe that he’s lying or putting on a show because someone who looks like him wouldn’t actually act like him… It’s really weird. Visually I keep seeing people walking around a floating mask-like cutout of Jin’s face in a neutral expression and they are all side-eyeing it and observing it. There’s significance to the fact that they THINK they are looking at a mask. The 2 of Pentacles in reverse is like this misalignment between physical state and internal perception or interpretation.
I think there’s also something to do with his age as well. Like if he’s with the group, then once they find out he’s the oldest then that just kind of affirms for them that the more playful side is an act because surely someone his age wouldn’t be on par with the youngest member in terms of his willingness to have fun and mess around, right?
