BTS and The New Album 'Proof'
ORIGINAL POST: MAY 15, 2022
This seems pretty exciting. Although there isn’t any major transmissions for the collective, there is a very interesting projection or intention with the album that is displayed in the center there, starting with Alchemy and showing a process of literally taking The Sun (joy, passion, creativity) and using it to manifest wealth or abundance. In other words, this new album, in some way, is going to either teach or inspire people to pursue joy above all else, and in that pursue a personal passion.
The aspect of wealth and abundance is not the main point as shown with The Magician specifically and deliberately working to create the King of Cups, this state of emotional and creative stability and certainly, alongside personal control. The money and abundance (Ace of Pentacles) is more of a “side-effect” of the process they are trying to display.
When it comes to how they, as a group, see this album and how they feel about it, they have the 4 and 7 of Wands. The 4 of Wands came out first and with it came this vision that suggested that they collectively see this album as some kind of pillar in their career, or see it as a structural aspect to what they want to leave behind. It sounds weird, but it looked like they were building a monument to their own career with this album.
The 7 of Wands was more specific in terms of how the album was “built” and it seemed to go beyond just referring to the production and writing, but rather it also referred to the entirety of their careers. I’ve not really been keeping up with them so I’m not sure if the album is out already or if they’ve released any information about it, but I would be curious to know if this album is at all like a reflection of their entire careers so far, or in some way paying homage either sonically, lyrically, or visually to past albums.
Lmao, never mind, answered my own question.
But yeah, just read through that, and it seems that the aspect of “building a monument” and this album being a “pillar of their career” is on point. I am more interested now to know the intention behind it from the members themselves in terms of this being projected as an inspiration to other people to see how prioritizing personal passion (as they did in the beginning of their careers with the support of BigHit) can lead to such monumental success. Very interesting.
