How do Mew and Gulf connect?

Video Version Available - September 13, 2021

Within their relationship, Mew contributes the Ace of Pentacles while Gulf contributes Strength, however, rather than this being purely an energetic contribution, it is much more centered on a conscious level, more superficial in terms of how they connect and influence each other. On both ends, there is this sense of refining pathways and defining specific targets that those pathways are leading to. Both sides provide clarification and create this projected energy that I can only describe as crystalline.

This does really show up very clearly with the Knight of Wands, which came out for how their energy, or their influences, come together between them. Where the Ace of Pentacles (Mew) provides this grounded direction and outlook, Strength (Gulf) brings about that steadfast determination to actually progress forward. This stimulates that Fire energy of the suit of Wands, prompting the Knight, who in all suits, is on a mission of some kind, to venture out, reach out, act, create, and accomplish. This is pretty perfect considering how closely they have worked together over the last couple of years, how, in spite of how close that relationship may be behind the scenes, superficially oriented this relationship is (meaning directed at fans for entertainment purposes on and off the shows), they do work very well together and seem to open doors for each other toward rapid development and expansion, both within themselves and within their careers.

The way they see each other is also very superficial, more conscious, and straightforward. Gulf sees Mew as The Star, as inspiration, something to look up to and follow. Connecting that to the Ace of Pentacles, which in itself contains a star (the image of the pentacle itself) which is being held out in offering, he quite literally is very conscious of and acknowledging how Mew has helped him, provided him with opportunities, and has been a contributing factor in his success as an actor. I’m sure considering the circumstances, they both have that view of each other on some level.

As for Mew, he sees Gulf as the reversed 5 of Swords, which is pretty interesting as it’s much more internalized compared to all the other cards that have come up here for them. Upright, the 5 of Swords is all about arguments, conflicted thoughts, a general hostility, or a tangled mindset. In reverse, those tangled thoughts, or opposing factors become smoothed out and become capable of being loosened up and untangled. Basically, Gulf seems to have “cooled him down” or relaxed him in such a way where Mew is able to be more careful with his thoughts and words, more self-aware maybe. To clarify, it is important to understand that Gulf did not untangle things for Mew but, in some way, prompted Mew to settle down, step back, and begin the process of healing, releasing, untangling, and moving through any kind of upset feelings or situations he may have been dealing with before he met Gulf.

There’s a very nice balance to this connection where Gulf seems to be more externally oriented while Mew is more internally oriented. They can create a stable space between them which is something most people want with their friends, family, or romantic connections — a place to relax, let go, and expand freely.

I will say, however, I can see this being a “fly-by” in terms of soul connections where, on a higher level, they pass by each other, hands out in order to exchange something, just a quick connection that happens in a blink of an eye, but is drawn out just a bit more on a conscious and physical level. This can create those situations where there’s this super strong, very intimate (not always romantic) connection that comes on very, very fast and a lot can occur within that big wave of recognition, understanding, or even infatuation. It’s sort of a burn bright, burn fast kind of vibe, but one that leaves a mark for sure.

In that regard, they may drift a bit over the years, go their own way on a personal level, maybe still work together, but they will branch out after having expanded, grown out of that stable space that they created with each other. This is quite a common occurrence in the realm of soul development, most people experience these kinds of relationships once or twice in their lifetimes. Very significant experiences, very memorable for both sides.
