Resistance — Full Moon — Earth — Pain

This is certainly one of the heavier sets with its focus on being put on money and foundational aspects of the external experience or day-to-day life. The foundation of this set is Resistance, associated with Mercury in Taurus. Again, this focuses on money, home life, and aspects of stability, but this can also, through Mercury, go into communication, contracts, and even transportation or travel. The Earth card emphasizes stability here, suggesting that, with the Full Moon card in the center, these areas of your life may experience instability. This with the focus word being PAIN may also suggest a loss in finances, home environment or home-related stability, travel plans or opportunities, or relationships.

The Full Moon specifically, while being the “high point” or the climax of the Moon’s phases, points to the awareness of the descent or the waning phases that begin to shrink the Moon in the sky and bring it back into the phase of the New Moon. Within this, there is a suggestion or a reminder that what goes up must come down, and what comes down will eventually go up again. Just like the phases of the Moon, it moves through a cycle of being full and then being empty. The Full Moon here could suggest that areas of your life that may have felt full, stable, and reliable are now starting to experience a waning period.

I think, more than any other set, those of you that chose this one will need to try even harder to look past the aspects of Death and The Bardo in order to maintain a positive and optimistic vision of the future. In relation to Death and the opportunity for change that it offers, Resistance can also suggest resistance to the necessary changes which lead to externally directed change, or at “Tower moment.”

It may be difficult to deal with, and in some cases seemingly impossible or out of your control, especially if this is related to world or collective events, but reminding yourself of the phases of the Moon, and the continuous cycle of up and down, full and empty, may help you to keep your eye on the future.
