Libra Season 2021

Libra Season seems action-packed right off the bat, which makes sense as between the New Moon in Libra (October 6) and the Aries Full Moon (October 20), Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury all go direct, creating a big wave of forward-moving energy right before we hit Scorpio Season.

The Mercury Retrograde is presented in the cards as a pretty significant aspect of the astrology to keep in mind through Libra Season, represented on the right side with Cosmic Flower being channeled through Detachment (Venus in Aquarius) and Optimism (Moon in Sagittarius). This lines up with the “stamp” of Jupiter’s influence that occurs within a trine between Jupiter and Mercury right when Mercury officially hits its retrograde period. There’s this feeling of detaching from extraneous external matters in order to expand internally through Optimism, through Jupiter, which is also retrograde through this period.

More specifically, not everyone will literally detach and go full hermit mode, but a lot of people will gravitate more towards people, places, and projects that bring about that sense of harmony and balance, and they will then want to focus their energy there and expand those areas. Life will still go on around it, there will still be work and obligations, of course, but the heart and mind will very much be in those more personal and favorable spaces.

Speaking of heart and mind, on the right side, there is Coherence coming through Enterprise (Jupiter in Aries). Coherence talks about harmonizing the heart and the mind, the creativity/intuition and the intellect, in order to be able to both envision and bring to fruition the reality that we want. Enterprise is all about self-initiation, exercising personal control, and being able to decide when, where, and how things actually get moving. Enterprise is also about commitment and drive to see the task through to the end in order to experience the full sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. Considering the collective reading from Virgo Season, I’d say this is a pretty good influence to lean into.

In the very center of the reading, there is Miracle, which is being projected through Fulfillment (Saturn in Sagittarius). I feel like, for some people, this could really line up with that Aries Full Moon, but it could also come with any of those planets previously mentioned going direct. There is a sense of culmination, of direct payoff to the work you’ve done up to this point. With that Miracle card, it could be that this payoff is rather out of nowhere, unexpected, or seems to come right at the perfect moment.

For some people, it feels like Miracle, or this payoff could mark a full closing of a previous phase, an initiation to something new, almost as if you get money or resources needed in order to move forward with something on a bigger scale. It may still be in the same line of work or area of life, but you will be brought to a higher level through this aspect of fulfillment.

On the far left side, the external guidance presented the Squirrel Spirit (“Believe in yourself.”), the Cow Spirit (“The miracles are endless.”), the Koala Spirt (“Spirit has a plan.”), and the Pig Spirit (“Use your mind wisely.”). These offer advice on how to approach things externally through Libra Season, just things to keep in mind as you work through things day by day.

The Pig Spirit stood out to me the most as it felt very connected to the Detachment card. That act of detaching mentally and/or energetically from situations, people, and work that don’t add to your sense of harmony and fulfillment, and instead of putting that focus toward things that will expand your life and bring about that sense of Optimism is a big key there in Libra Season.

The Cow Spirit felt like it came with a bit of caution, a bit of heads up, obviously connected to the Miracle card in the center of the reading. Specifically, “the miracles are endless,” felt more like it was saying, “miracles come in all shapes and sizes.” It may not be what you expect, it may not pop up right when you expect it, and it may not even feel like a miracle right when it happens, but it’s there, it’s coming, and it will surely lead to that fulfillment. Alongside that, “spirit has a plan,” can be reassurance for a lot of people, a reminder to trust in divine timing and detours as they pop up.

The message of, “believe in yourself,” feels very connected to Coherence and Enterprise, the belief in the heart and mind, in the vision, in the outlook, and more importantly, in your ability to actually do the work and bring that vision to fruition.

For the internal guidance, we have been presented with the New Moon in Libra (“a new romantic cycle begins.”), the Mutable Moon (“Nothing is yet set in stone.”), and the Full Moon Eclipse (“conclusions are within reach.”) The New Moon in Libra brings about a very forthright sense of harmony, and alongside the message of the Mutable Moon, it feels malleable, as if life itself is being molded and sculpted, being altered in a lot of ways, in order to bring about the most beneficial and balanced system possible. That can definitely go into Enterprise, the Koala Spirit, and all mentions of Miracles and fulfillment.

The last card there, the Full Moon Eclipse, really caps everything off and puts a nice ribbon on the gift of Miracle and Fulfillment. It serves as a confirmation that, for a lot of people, certain phases, certain areas of work and fine-tuning are coming to an end, you’re about to reach the finish line, and things are being shaped around you in order to bring you to that state of being. With this and the influence of Libra, I do feel this could be very karmic in the sense that what you’ve put out energetically, the mindset you’ve carried throughout this process, the general attitude you’ve carried, especially over the last few months, could really affect how things fall into place now, how those pathways are molded, and how that fulfillment and completion come to you in the end.
