Reading Part 1: The Internal Alignment of Kim Taehyung (P1)
Before we get into this, I want to know why absolutely no one, in the past two and a half years, ever bothered to tell me that Taehyung’s first Internal Alignment reading came off as if it was written by an alien who had no other intention but to confuse everyone with riddles. Seriously, I went back to re-read it to get a grip on what was all going on back then, and I was like, what the hell am I even trying to say? Some of it was literally just written poorly, like chunks of sentences missing and weird typos. It seemed like I wrote it while I was half asleep and never bothered to edit it… So, of course, I spent a day and went through and re-read my old notes for that reading, edited the pictures and all that, and then re-wrote the whole thing in order to make it legible.
It’s all exactly the same, but I did add one note to it as some things were made a little more clear based on more recent readings I’ve done for other members of BTS. I highly recommend reading through part 1 to get an idea of where things were and, if you read it when it was first posted, go have a look at it as there were probably giant chunks of it that just didn’t register the first time around as it was literally written like I was smashing my head on my keyboard repeatedly.
Pre-reading:
Now, as I’m sure we all know, I tend to have some trouble doing readings for Taehyung due to my own nonsense and mistakes made while doing his Elemental Alignments (Part 1 + Part 2) back in 2018, so I approached this reading, or more so this connection, differently than I usually would. I really wanted to see into the core, I wanted to see his inner world and see how it has changed, if it changed at all. I don’t really know how to explain how I opened things up for this reading, it was very in the moment, just going with the flow, but the most important aspect is that, in this case, rather than going in and sort of knocking on his door, I instead invited him into my space. This is not something I usually do, it’s not something I would ever do again just because… it’s weird, I don’t know.
I figured that if Taehyung’s core, soul, or higher consciousness was still in the same state it was before, he may be more inclined to open up a line of communication for this reading if he felt more in control, less invaded, and perhaps a bit more on equal ground. This did actually work, but it required another layer of separation as he, on a soul level, brought his own Guides in to kind of mediate, which was interesting. Using Guides to communicate on a higher level is something I did back when work was still being done on the Soul Body, so this was perfectly fine, but I was surprised that he was the one to initiate that as it shows he has a direct link to his Guides on a soul level, which he didn’t have before. Well, he did have that direct link, he just wasn’t using it.
So, to give you an idea of how things were set up, we were basically sitting across from each other, sitting on the ground, and our Guides stood on either side of us, but mostly stayed out of the way, out of sight. Taehyung’s appearance here was very interesting. It reminded me a lot of how Kook looked in his and Jimin’s second relationship reading where I described Kook’s appearance as “smeared” in a way. Taehyung held form but he looked like he was phasing in and out of black smoke, almost like he was made of black smoke. In my notes, I described it as “ribbons of black smoke that extended around him, appearing and disappearing as if they were made of dust and getting blown away in the wind.”
Taehyung himself seemed very focused and not at all like what I remember from his Elemental Alignment readings and it didn’t take me long to realize that this was not the same Taehyung that I had connected with before, it was the “other half.” It was the half of Taehyung’s core, that chunk of his soul that had been hidden away in a cupboard, dehydrated and essentially left to whither away. Again, it’s hard to explain, but his appearance here, this wispy black smoke was more so a reflection of how he was coming together. He was only just starting to really figure out how to hold form and present himself, especially outside of his own world.
From here, I made my intentions clear, that I just wanted to observe his core and see how things had progressed, and I made sure to make the point that he would be completely in charge of what was shown, he would be the tour guide essentially, and that it would be a very straightforward process. He never actually said anything at this point, but his Guides talked to my Guides, then my Guides talked to me and everything was good to go.
This is where things started to get a little odd. I just allowed myself to be moved, to be brought into Taehyung’s core, that inner world, and I just tried to let things flow as naturally as possible, and with that, I really focused on the sensation of his world, the energy of it, the air of it. As we moved into it, it felt like everything was in slow motion. It didn’t feel like I was in slow motion, but time itself had slowed down, I could feel it dragging on, and there was just this rolling hum in the background, very subtle.
I don’t remember writing this, but in my notes, it says, “Everything in slow motion, feels like a bomb went off. In shock. Body in pieces, but coming together.” I think this refers to the fact that his previous world had collapsed, just as everyone’s did with the collapse and dismantling of the Soul Body overall. It just seems that Taehyung’s personal deconstructing happened very quickly and without a lot of warning or control, or at least that’s what it felt like to him.
His inner world, which used to be almost an exact replica of Kook’s inner world with a few morbidly distorted details, now looks a lot like a hospital room. I likened it more to a room in a mental hospital as it looked very sterile, all white, but still had somewhat of a lived-in feel to it. There were no doors to this room, only a flight of stairs that went down about six or seven steps straight into the wall. The room was very bright with fluorescent lights overhead on the high ceilings, and there was this large blacked-out window, a one-way window on the wall. There was a bed in the corner, and a four-seater table in the center of the room, but there was only one chair. Again, everything was very white. There was absolutely no color other than Taehyung’s hair, which was black. Even his skin was very pale, almost blending in with his white shirt and pants.
To be clear, inside this room, inside the core, Taehyung did not look the same as he did before. That whole black smoke ribbon thing was not there anymore, and he looked smaller, younger. I didn’t notice that right away, the fact that he looked like he aged down to about 14 or 15 years old, and once I took note of that I started questioning it in my head, which I wasn’t supposed to do as, you know, I promised to let him take the lead and show what he wanted to show. This really seemed to set him off, and in a way it felt like a child suddenly throwing a tantrum with how everything speeding up, and Taehyung just started yammering on. Again, it reminded me of Kook where he just started talking up a storm, completely oblivious to the fact that I couldn’t actually make out most of what he was saying as I’m not the best when it comes to communicating verbally or receiving verbal communication on this level.
The first thing that he said, which I did get very clearly, was, “Do you realize you don’t even know me? Do you realize you never even knew me?”
This was said with a lot of aggravation and I was quick to kind of put my hands up and be like, it’s all good, don’t worry about it, I’m not asking anything, you tell me what you want, I’m only here to listen. From there, he started going on about something, and I was getting a lot of visuals with it, but some of it was more personal or it registered as something to understand for context but not something to share in this reading. The next thing that I heard, or more specifically, the next thing that I wrote down was him saying, “ —trying to kill myself without thinking about anyone else.”
This was really interesting because this was referring to the act of killing parts of himself, his ego specifically, in order to come into full form as he was there. The only way he could come to full form here was by not holding himself to the image of what other people expected of him, as he, this part of him, really doesn’t line up with who Taehyung presents himself to be now on a conscious level at all. Essentially, he was saying that he had been trying to destroy the part of himself that dictated that outward projection, and in order to do so, he had to have no concern at all for the people around him, the audience to his image. There was definitely emphasis put on the fact that he was trying to kill parts of himself rather than having already killed off that domineering ego that had locked him away.
I made a note with this that what he was trying to do would make him “less of a person,” and by that, I meant that while he, on a soul level, comes into form, solidifies his being on this level, Taehyung on a conscious level, on a more superficial level would lose form. As in, he would lose the image he curated for himself up to this point. He would break those last few masks and become the more raw and real version of himself, more lined up with who he is on a soul level, which, as I said, is actually very, very different from who we, as distant spectators, know him as.
There was some more talking, more visuals, and then there was an interesting bit in there where he lifted up his shirt to show that there was this pretty gnarly wound on the left side of his stomach, just above his hip bone. It was probably a little bigger than the size of his hand, and it looked like a chunk of his flesh had been taken out and then left to scab over. When he did this he said, “you will make mistakes too.”
I’m really not sure at all what this was supposed to mean or what it was referring to specifically as I didn’t catch everything he said before he did it. The only thing that followed that directly was this sensation that was so strong that it took me out of the space for a second. In my notes I described it as feeling like you’re “flying down the road in a car in the middle of the night, then suddenly looping onto a roller coaster track that flings you upside down, throwing you in every direction.” It was this feeling of being in control, being on the road with your hands on the wheel, going faster and faster, and then suddenly completely losing control, feeling as if you’re now at the mercy of a roller coaster.
The next thing I heard after that was, “ —not since I was 21.”
There was some other stuff in there, but the last bit that was the most significant to me was when he showed what he was building. Similar to the state that Jimin is in now, and that the other guys were in before, Taehyung is in the process of building up a new world, or in this case, it seems like he’s in the process of building a literal vehicle to take him out of this world, out of this white room, and into another world entirely. Specifically, he showed me this half-built train with laid train tracks. It was a model train, sitting on that table in the center of the room, materials and tools scattered around, but he made it clear that this train was meant to take him somewhere else. He’s hoping it will take him somewhere else.
As he was showing me this train, he kept talking and I didn’t catch much, but one thing stood out to me and that was when he said, “sometimes he listens to me.” When he said this, he had this twinge of anger in his voice, and he glanced and gestured over his shoulder at that blacked-out, one-way window. This seemed significant to me because the first thought that came to my mind was that was where the ego was, that was where the other half was being kept. I wanted to ask about it, but didn’t and it was never mentioned again.
Taehyung talked about this train for a while longer, and he seemed to be getting more and more frustrated or annoyed as he did, seeming to become less and less focused, sort of drifting a bit to the point where he started to lose his form. He started to look more and more like he did in the beginning — older, wispier, made out of black smoke, and a bit more distant behind the eyes. It was almost like everything started glitching, speeding up, and he started flashing in and out, almost bouncing around the room. He kept talking as if he didn’t realize this was happening.
Then, everything just stopped and he said, “I don’t want to go back to the old corpse.” This hit me kind of hard because it took me back to what things looked like for this half of Taehyung’s core when it was still split and the more ego-based side was shoving this half into a literal cupboard and burning away its water. At that time, this half of Taehyung’s core looked like a corpse, like a mummified version of Taehyung, emaciated, frail, but still breathing. It’s like he was saying he doesn’t want to go back to that, and the only way to do that is to get away from this space altogether. He doesn’t know how to kill off the other side, apparently can’t communicate with him as he only “sometimes” listens, and therefore, he just wants to get out of there on this train. I really didn’t have the heart or the bravery to tell him that that most likely will not work.
Some other stuff happened after this, but it’s not very relevant to the reading, but I do want to make a note that the very last thing he said before I pulled out of this line of communication was, “black and white.” What does that mean? I don’t know.
I did my classic core energy spread as that’s what I did in Taehyung’s first Internal Alignment reading to get a clearer picture of the state of his core and how it is influencing him on a conscious level.
The current core state is represented there first by Death, then the Ace of Swords, and the Page of Wands. First and foremost, Death is a card of transition, a card that brings about an end but guarantees a new beginning to follow. I found this really interesting because, in the major arcana, Death follows The Hanged Man, presenting a process where there is a moment of pause, a moment to take an inventory of things, look at everything from a new perspective, right before initiating deconstruction for the sake of rebuilding something down the line. The Hanged Man shows up here in this spread as well, specifically in the space of what the current state will lead to. It shows this kind of sandwiched process that would go from The Hanged Man to Death, then to The Hanged Man again. I assume, again perhaps, Death would follow.
It’s almost like he’s experiencing mini-deconstructions, mini-collapses within his core, kind of breaking off one at a time. This made me think of how in his original inner world, the one portrayed in his Elemental Alignment readings, the inside walls of his “house” were made out of bricks, cardboard bricks specifically, and inside each of those bricks was a face, a mask. All of those masks, those bricks, and the walls they created, were put there by his ego, by that other half that now, maybe, seems to be behind that blacked-out window. This half of the core could be going through a grueling process of having to literally chip away at each and every one of those bricks, each and every one of those masks, all while trying to keep himself in check and keep that other half, the ego, in check as well.
The Ace of Swords does bring in a bit more of a positive spin to this though as, especially with the train in mind, it represents the mind full of inspiration and a limitless outlook, the mind right at the beginning of a new plan or project. There’s this positive outlook and idea, there’s hope in this, and that keeps him going, keeps him chipping away at things so that he can have more control, or at least get to a place where things can be more balanced. Following along with that, the Page of Wands is pretty much the exact same thing as the Ace of Swords here, it’s just more focused on the action that is driven by the outlook and inspiration.
I will say, there is this sort of spread out feel to it in the sense that It feels a little desperate. It feels like maybe things are being run through a little too quickly and because of that, some “crumbs” are being left behind and that could be slowing some things down, or at least adding some tension. Mostly what I’m focused on here is the lack of communication between these two sides of the core while they both seemed to be “trapped” inside these two rooms, separated by a one-way window where the egoic center can see into the other side, but this side of Taehyung refuses to look in that direction, going as far to blackout his side of the window.
When it comes to how this core state is showing up in his life, he has here the 8 of Cups and the 6 of Swords. Both of these cards, like Death, are all about transition and moving on to a new chapter. However, they do differ a bit. The 8 of Cups is more of a voluntary release of the past, hence the abandoned cups that the man leaves before crossing the water and continuing on his journey with a lighter load. The 6 of Swords is usually a transition made out of necessity, with the suggestion made that they are moving from rough waters, as shown at the bottom of the image, to smoother waters. The image is usually described as people fleeing from war or some other kind of misfortune that forces them to leave their home. The fact that the woman’s head is covered is often attributed to grief, while the swords in the boat represent bad memories, anxiety, fear, and the general over-thinking of “what if’s” that can come around in this kind of situation, obscuring the view of what is ahead of them.
Stemming from Death, these two cards really feel like the two lenses through which people can often see this card. Some people can look at Death as an opportunity for release, and an opportunity for a new beginning, while others can look at it as a force beyond themselves that pushes them into a direction they don’t want to go in. Taehyung is experiencing both. I feel like one side is more in the realm of his soul while the other is more in line with his conscious perception of it. Based on the next set of cards, I’m more inclined to believe that on a conscious level he is seeing this push towards transition, which he could be experiencing more as an external factor, as a major detriment, while his soul does recognize the opportunity for release from past restrictions and movement toward change.
As these internal influences, some of which may be currently ushered in by external factors for Taehyung, integrate on a conscious level, they come about his more superficial perception as The Sun and the 2 of Wands, both of which came out in reverse. When elaborated on, The Star and The Hierophant came out. Again, the reversed Sun and 2 of Wands line up more with his conscious mind while The Star and The Hierophant represent his higher awareness.
This actually lines up really well as the reversed Sun can indicate a lack of conscious awareness, literally as if walking around in the dark, while the reversed 2 of Wands suggests confusion or a lack of information that makes it difficult to make decisions on how to proceed. These reflect the 6 of Swords. Then, the image of The Star, as she pours the water, made me think of the release of the 8 of Cups, the pouring out of emotional baggage that makes the load lighter, makes it easier to move forward. This intentional, self-initiated release sets off that next wave of progression, just as the pouring of the water by The Star creates ripples in the pond and new pathways, new streams on the ground.
The Hierophant is that personal control through self-belief, is the main foundation of a person’s soul in terms of their fundamental values, perception, and manner of action. The Hierophant specifically feels a little out of place, as if it hasn’t fully taken root, which I suppose would make sense as it’s kind of the equivalent of The Hanged Man in the overall process. The Hierophant is that personal foundation and perception within the soul, which is then altered and reformed through The Hanged Man, which ushers in the new wave of The Star, which manifests as the 8 of Cups, which brings Taehyung’s soul to new land, or to a new version of The Hierophant. Again, the 8 of Cups and the 6 of Swords would be interchangeable depending on what level of consciousness he is observing it from, but mostly everything else stays the same.
On either side of the main set, I pulled a card to show what state the core was in prior to the current one, and then another card to showcase where the current phase could bring the core if things go according to plan. On the left side, he has The Fool. The Fool is number 0 in the major arcana, it is the spark of inspiration, the spark of life that leads into a new phase, somewhat of a stepping stone between the beginning and end, between construction and deconstruction, between life and death. This could be seen as a kind of holding phase, a space of rest, or even a space of resistance or hesitation as if he had the opportunity to take that leap of faith and jump off the cliff, but didn’t and instead fell as those waves rose in the background and knocked the loose rock beneath him away. Again, this would still line up with having two separate interpretations of Death as his soul could have been appreciative of the waves pushing him when he couldn’t make himself jump, while Taehyung on a conscious level could have experienced a lot of anxiety or turmoil around this sensation of falling out of control.
What the current core state, Death and its processes alongside the Ace of Swords and the Page of Wands, is leading to is represented by The Hanged Man. As I said before, The Hanged Man seems to indicate a cyclical process where there are mini-deconstructions and rebuilding being worked on one at a time. The current core state is leading Taehyung to another realization, another miniature burst of clarity that comes from an altered perspective of his surroundings or just of himself. This would occur on a conscious level, and that tiny shift in perspective on a conscious level is what allows the soul that bit of extra room, that bit of release to continue on with that next little step in the process.
It’s a slow and somewhat tense process, but this actually seems to be a very good way of balancing between internal and external processing. It’s a decent compromise for the time being.
Main Reading:
Where The Higher Self Is Guiding Him Now:
Unfinished Symphony + Regeneration
This confirms for me the idea that there is this cyclical process occurring within an overall larger process of healing, restructuring, and ultimately a rebirth. Unfinished Symphony is about cycles and about having to repeat lessons as they were not fully understood the first time. Within that, every trip taken back around to the beginning of this lesson there is a sense of elevation, having more knowledge and understanding than you started with, which makes it more and more likely every time that the process itself will be complete. For Taehyung, it’s not so much that he’s repeating the exact same process with the exact same goal, instead, he’s performing the same task on multiple pieces of the puzzle. What comes to mind is someone weeding a garden. The repetitive task is pulling the weed out, but he’s not pulling the same weed every time… if he did that, he really would be stuck.
Regeneration is, of course, all about rebirth, but it does emphasize, similar to Unfinished Symphony, the sense of leveling up as you regenerate, becoming stronger than you were before as you rise from the ashes every time.
So, currently, his Higher Self is guiding him through this process of healing, one that seems to be based around a lot of compromise and accommodation for Taehyung’s personal subconscious and spiritual blockages. Especially now since the Soul Body as a whole has been undone and the seven of them are no longer spiritually linked in a way that would make them reliant on anyone else’s progression, Taehyung really does have all the time in the world to work through this. I will say, it does seem like on a conscious level it would take something a bit bigger, a bigger wake-up call for him to fully engage and have all levels of consciousness working on the same page.
Just for reference, I want to include the descriptions of these cards from the book:
Current State of Conscious Alignment: Magician
This is very interesting to me because, in this deck, the Magician is an oracle, not an actual magician. She is a conduit able to relay messages from other worlds to this world. However, it is stated that she herself may not always understand what she’s saying, what it means, but the person she is speaking to would. It’s like Taehyung, due to this new state of being, just as I mentioned before, is receptive to a lot of this guidance, but ultimately doesn’t know how to grasp it or apply it. The implication could also be in the realm of him doing things, looking into things, trying things that come to mind without question, just allowing inspiration and guidance to surge through him, which would line up with that point in the process between The Hierophant and The Hanged Man.
So, I suppose, he’s aligned, he just doesn’t know he’s aligned, but the further along he goes within the process, the more of these mini-rebirths he experiences, the more of those bricks that get chipped away, the closer he comes to being able to fully recognize himself and fully project his authentic self and soul.
How This Alignment Is Manifesting: Emperor
This is actually perfect. This really goes along great with what I was getting with the 8 of Cups and the 6 of Swords in terms of how this process seems to register and affect the soul and the conscious mind differently. In this deck, the Emperor is about recognizing disturbances, such as the Guardian on top of the cliff, staring down at the little tree bending backward in the wind and the waves ramming against the rocks. While there is fear and anxiety here, anticipation for the worst to happen, such as the tree being ripped out of the ground and thrown into the sea, there is a reminder to remember what it is that you are rooted into… a cliff. Rocks. Not soft soil.
This goes straight back to Taehyung’s first Internal Alignment reading where he had the Eight of Cups (from the Guardian deck) in the position of his conscious alignment, alongside the reversed Two of Swords. Specifically, in that reading, the Eight of Cups pointed to Taehyung being so rooted into this solid, unmoving structure of his core that he couldn’t connect to anything else. He was stuck. Water energy was being introduced in order to soften things up so that he could move around more, evolve. Here, in the image of the Emperor, water appears as this scary thing threatening to uproot this tree, but, perhaps, if we know for a fact that it can’t be uprooted as it’s rooted into a cliff, then maybe these large waves serve to bring water, nutrients, something beneficial to this tree that sits upon this cliff.
The perspective is important here as there is the Guardian that sits on top of the cliff, like a tree itself, as something with roots that COULD BE ripped out of the ground. This Guardian sympathizes with the tree and worries for it, the same way it worries for itself. But, there’s another Guardian in this image. The face below on the cliff, the Guardian who is not another tree, but a spirit within the cliff itself, reflects the core state, Taehyung’s soul. This part of Taehyung is very aware of the fact that everything is very solid, unmoving, and the only way anything could ever be uprooted or dismantled is if it is self-initiated. No storm, no water, no wind could ever destroy those structures, it has to be a choice to let that tree go.
So, essentially, the spirit in the cliff, the soul, is seeing this storm and the potential of the tree being removed the same way the soul sees the overall process as the 8 of Cups, as a choice to let go. Taehyung on a conscious level, however, sees the potential of involuntary movement, forceful uprooting like the 6 of Swords.
How He Can Better Work With This Alignment:
Two of Swords (rev.) + King of Cups + Ten of Wands
This is very on point as well. As I mentioned, the reversed Two of Swords was also in his previous reading in the same position as the Eight of Cups. Here, the advice is to recognize this aspect of his own perception. The reversed Two of Swords has a small description that says, “In reverse, this card indicates that things have changed externally to where you feel as though you are being forced to change when you may not feel ready.” And again, that lines up with the conscious perception of the 6 of Swords.
Now, don’t get it twisted, there definitely are external factors that are forcing change to systems and routines that have been in place for years, but that’s only half of what he’s going through. He may be sensitive now enough to feel those internal changes, but he could be placing more of the blame on the external factors, and therefore not fully engaging the way that he should. He’s still moving with the changes as he has to externally, but things are still moving slowly inside as he’s just not giving it the right attention.
The King of Cups is the advice to do just that, give the inner world attention. In this card, the Guardian King holds his newborn child and around him, the spirits of their ancestors offer protection and guidance. It’s symbolic of learning from the past in order to nurture the future. There is an emphasis put on nurturing dreams that are brought forth from the subconscious mind, which in this case, would relate to Taehyung’s inner guidance, that push from his Higher self to engage in the process, to shift his awareness with The Hanged Man and nurture a new state of being.
Then, on the end there, he has the Ten of Wands, which is all about being immersed in something external to the point that you lose sight of yourself completely. Both the Ten of Wands and the reversed Two of Swords show these blockages based in resistance and distraction, while the center card, the King of Cups, points Taehyung in the direction of diving into the self and nurturing his own rebirth.
Lesson Being Learned Within This Process: Chariot
I definitely want to include the full description of this card.
This applies to both Taehyung on a conscious level and Taehyung on a soul level. Within this process, both sides will learn to face directly what it is that scares them, what they have repressed, or in his soul’s case, what he has hidden behind a blacked-out window and refuses to fully communicate with. Similar to what was shown with the Emperor, there’s a matter of needing to recognize what he is made of, what he has naturally in him, in his coding that can help him actually navigate all of this.
Right now, both Taehyung’s conscious mind and his soul are on the same page when it comes to this need to simply detach and get away from what is causing them distress, such as Taehyung not wanting to do any major deep dives into his own emotions, and his soul’s little passenger train project to get him out of his room. Neither of them seem to really be considering integration, the process from which those past traumas are learned from, and what can’t be learned from is released. The soul, in this case, is not considering the fact that he is not separate from that ego, they are still one, still linked together, just now separated by a wall and a window. They would have to balance and come together again, and it would be a fight to maintain control, but it’s not going to go as he thinks it will if he actually just tries to drive a train through the wall in order to get away from his own reflection.
So, basically, overall, Taehyung is in a much better place than he was before, there’s a lot more movement to him than before, but there’s still a lot of those subconscious blocks that haven’t been dealt with yet. I imagine, unless there’s some kind of major conscious level, superficial wake up call for Taehyung, this process would take years and years to get through, and could possibly require a detachment from the public in order to separate himself from the superficial image and the expectations of the audience.
That’s all I have for this one. I hope you found it interesting, and thank you for reading!
