Details: The Relationships & Connections reading is designed to showcase the romantic, platonic, or familial relationship between two people and put their connection into perspective by presenting what is gained and from the relationship as well as the highest potential of it.
Pre-Reading:
I’ve done a couple of readings for their connection specifically (here + here) and one was more focused on a conscious level connection while the other was a more sub and unconscious level connection. Both had to do with exchanging information and learning from each other in pretty interesting ways. On a conscious level, there was this very direct exchange from Jin to Kook about business, money, and planning for a long-term career and investments. Then on a more unconscious and subconscious level, there was an observation and implementation on both ends around confidence.
I actually did a bit of an energy analysis on this on my own a while back as I was kind of confused about how two people who were, on the surface, very secure and confident people with underlying and mostly hidden insecurities, who seemingly have the same set up there, could be exchanging anything and creating something different for themselves.
It’s like two people each have a blue and a red ball, then one person gives there blue ball to the other person in exchange for their blue ball. There’s an exchange but they both still have a red and blue ball each at the end. Obviously, it’s more complex than that and because this has to do with more of the unconscious and subconscious observation, they’re actually exchanging through projected energy, the ego, their Sun Signs.
It’s interesting because I have a whole notebook about how the signs, elements, and modes function differently (as I’ve observed consciously and energetically) compared to each other and I did have a section on confidence. Fire Sign (Jin’s Sagittarius) and Earth Sign (Kook’s Virgo) confidence differ quite a bit on a conscious level but they complement each other, so these elemental energies may admire each other for their confidence.
Basically, Fire Sign confidence, similar to Water Sign confidence, is borderline over-compensation. It’s about choosing what people are going to see, choosing what you are going to project, which is something usually quite loud and in everyone’s face (Water Signs are quiet and subtle). Literally being loud, yelling, having a loud laugh, being the funny one with all the jokes, saying absurd things out of nowhere, taking very good care of your appearance, putting that on display before anything else — it’s all towards pushing out an image that you want people to see which outshines your own flaws and insecurities. Fire Signs can sometimes only be slightly aware of their insecurities, especially when they are consciously focused on the image they are projecting, which s based on the ego, it’s based on them. They’re not hiding who they are, they’re just turning the volume up on the parts of themselves that they do like to drown out the parts they don’t. A lot of times they won’t even think of those things as being insecurities because of it.
Earth Sign confidence, similar to Air Sign confidence, is almost unconscious as it is a natural state. I think of it like walking. You’re an Earth Sign, you’re energy is already naturally grounded, you’re connected to the Earth. When you walk your feet are firm on the ground, you step with intention and ease. No one thinks about walking while they are walking most of the time, it’s almost no different than breathing. In terms of confidence, it’s like the person walking is in their head thinking about how bad they look, how everyone is looking at them and judging them, how no one likes them, but on the outside, they’re moving steadily with even steps, back straight, head up. From the outside looking in, they look more put together than anyone, they appear more confident than anyone.
So, similar to how Fire Signs can sometimes get to a point where they don’t even think about their insecurities, Earth Signs can get to a point where they don’t even think about their confidence. So, when an Earth Sign sees the confidence of Fire Sign they see the projection, the show of confidence. It’s loud and bright, they can feel it. When a Fire Sign sees the confidence of an Earth Sign they see stability and self-assuredness, no need to overcompensate, no need to be entertaining in order for everyone to like them, they just simply exist in this confident and almost regal state.
And it’s interesting, right? Because Earth Signs are very physical, they’re conscious energies, if anyone were to be putting on a show, really putting things out there when it comes to confidence, it’s an Earth Sign. And Fire Signs are so energetic, so core-oriented, they should be the ones coming off as self-contained and regal… and they do. They both do that, but only when that person is ACTUALLY confident, ACTUALLY self-assured and not trying to hide insecurities.
Jin and Kook are both insecure people for different reasons, but on the surface, they project confidence, and they see that in each other. And since they know each other personally, they’re probably more aware of how things “switch on and off” and they may even look at that as something admirable as well — being able to come off as confident in one way or another when you are not actually in that state of mind.
So, they both learn from each other through observation, and it may even be that they are more admirable of each other’s confidence on an unconscious and energetic level because they are literally displaying each other’s peak confidence. Kook, at a higher frequency with a lot of confidence, would be the one to really put on a show constantly, not have any guards up at all, while Jin would be more regal and quiet.
They do display these stills as, obviously, they are human beings there are moments of confidence and insecurity all the time, but the situation really dictates that for both of them. If you pay attention, you’ll notice that wherever Jin is quite loud, Kook is usually pretty quiet or stoic, and where Kook is loud, Jin is quiet and stoic. I’ve noticed this mostly between shows like Run versus when they’re at award shows. Depending on the situation, depending on the actual environment and whether or not they are with the group, you can gauge that confidence based on those core and ego-centric energies.
Just thought that was interesting, lol.
With the cards, the first thing to fly out was The Fool with the Ace of Wands, which if you’ve read a lot of the BTS readings, then you may know why that combination is so significant. In most readings, Kook is always represented as the Page of Wands, which is typically representative of him in a more dependent state, acting a bit more like a follower, or a child being led by the others. On the other hand, multiple times I’ve gotten The Fool with the Ace of Wands as a symbol of him in a more independent and self-affirming state, containing his own energy, moving with top confidence. In this reading, this set is meant for both Jin and Kook.
It has to do with how the energetic exchange occurs and is literally giving both of them the ability to understand, at least subconsciously, the highest possible state of their own self-esteem and confidence. What they project, even in a state of insecurity, is what the other observes as their own peak confidence. So, it’s like back to that blue and red ball thing — It’s like they are both The Fool, they’re both handing each other the Ace of Wands, but the Ace of Wands contains those different state of confidence. The Hermit popped up as confirmation that this is much more internalized, as in this is not something they specifically talk about or point out to each other, they simply observe it in the other and then apply it to themselves as a form of self-improvement or practice with self-awareness.
The Reading:
Energetic Contributions To The Relationship:
Jin: Four of Wands | Kook: Ace of Wands
This made me laugh a bit because this is mostly around energy projected on a conscious level, as in this is reflecting what they choose to be for the other person, and with that you have Jin giving off a grounded but encouraging maturity, while Kook is giving off this bright flaming ball of energy, this excitement, very ~youthful~ vibe.
They’re in the same realm though, they’re both carrying Wands, they’re both projecting within the same wavelength essentially, meaning that they are receptive to each other in those modes. Like, as we know, Jin can definitely be in charge, be mature, be nurturing and supportive, but he can also be an absolute firecracker bouncing off the walls and having fun, being that big little kid. Kook can do the same both ways, but between each other specifically, they more dominantly keep their foot in the states that are displayed above. Jin is the big brother and Kook is the little brother, there are roles there to play, but they can still relate to each other in a way that allows them to communicate openly with each other.
How They See Each Other:
Jin: 2 of Pentacles (rev.) | Kook: 5 of Swords (rev.)
This kind of relates back to those other readings that I’ve done for the two of them before as there is a focus here on work and money again, especially on Jin’s side. With Jin seeing Kook as the reversed 2 of Pentacles, he’s seeing him as someone who isn’t really managing themselves well in business or isn’t really taking it seriously. More specifically, I was feeling this as like genuine concern, like Jin’s actually worried about Kook handling his money well and making smart investments, and even with things like contracts and business deals and such.
This doesn’t come off as an overbearing thing, it’s more like he sees Kook as someone — a young person — who just isn’t thinking long-term with a lot of things, so he wants to step in and help him with that. In those other readings, there was that exchange between them where Jin was teaching Kook about business and whatever else, so that does seem to be a prominent thing in their relationship.
With Kook seeing Jin as the reversed 5 of Swords, I was getting this more like he sees Jin as a good person to clean up messes. This can relate to arguments, or just being a good person to talk things through with, but more specifically, I was seeing this as being in relation to contracts. It’s hard to make it out in reverse, but the image on the card is of a knight sitting on the ground, looking a bit tired or shut down while surrounded by swords. I was seeing that as Jin and those swords as paperwork. There were notes being made, things being signed. So, it's almost like Kook does think of Jin as being the one to make sure they’re all getting the good deals and getting the right paychecks and such, and therefore, he doesn't need to worry about it, which in turn makes Jin worry that he’s not taking it seriously.
It’s an interesting thing, very specific, but stuff like that keeps coming up for them and if I’m being honest, I don’t understand why THAT is such a huge part of their relationship, lol.
Current State of The Relationship: Ten of Pentacles
All good. 100%.
The 10 of Pentacles is perfect abundance, stability, nurturing, and a sense of legacy, a sense of accomplishment. It also has a lot to do with family and really feeling rooted together. This does feel like it extends out to the other guys as well, so this abundant and familial vibe is between the seven of them and probably extends to their staff and other people that they’ve been working with for a long period of time.
In a similar fashion, the previous set with how Jin is working on contracts and stuff, it extends past Kook, Jin’s concern is for everyone. I assume his background in business, his family, as well as his being the oldest is the reason he is so focused on that.
Highest Potential of The Relationship: The High Priestess
I was seeing this with way more visuals, so it’s a little hard to put into words, but it’s like this is meant for Kook specifically. There’s this aspect of guidance where at the highest level of this relationship, Jin is a master or a mentor and Kook is the student. More specifically, I was seeing the word “protege.” Kind of weird and confusing, but there was a schedule or a checklist and that’s where the word “protege” was written and it was like that list was for Jin, but it was so that he could do something for Kook.
This is like big-picture stuff, I’m pretty sure. Like it’s not just about business or money, it’s about LIFE. Again, it’s hard to put it into words, but it’s like something is going to happen where Kook, in a sense, is put under Jin and is very consciously guided by him through something and it is a big part of their independent soul progression, and it may even be something that is set to happen after they break from the soul body. Very cool.
