Omg, interesting topic. I’ve thought about this before and when I looked into it for this reading I was kind of surprised, kind of not, to see that Simon Cowell is kind of fascinated by them. There’s a fascination on a more personal level and then a more rigid view when it comes to business, but neither is negative or hold any ill intent that could actually affect them in any way.

So, the 9 of Cups is how he sees them. That level of success and relevance is what he wants to have, it’s what 1D had in the beginning. So, it’s kind of nostalgic in a way on that personal level, but then you get into the 2 of Pentacles where he’s comparing BTS to the groups he has now and is like… taking notes? Or he’s paying close attention to how they do things and he’ll probably try to use their own strategies against them, but it’s not really an active thing as he doesn’t see them as a threat currently. they’re still just “internet famous” in his eyes and as an old man with tiny shirts, he doesn’t fully get that that is the new mainstream.

There is some shit in there though, again having to do with him trying to use their own strategies against them, but it’s like… BTS will be unfazed by it. They’re the Fool, free and uncaring, and Simon is the 7 of Wands above them trying to maintain his hold on the market (which he doesn’t really have so??). But like I said, that’s from a business standpoint, not a personal one, and it’s not something to be worried about because he simply has no power over them and isn’t really seeing them as a threat the way YG is, so he’s not going to start paying networks to blacklist them or anything.

YG is scared of BTS and Simon is simply fascinated and wanting to learn from them.
