Harry and Louis, obviously, have some history so the main part of this reading, a mini-connection reading, covers the current state of their connection, while the bottom three cards show a simple past, present, future layout for comparison.

Right away, there are definitely some odd vibes with their current projections toward each other with Harry projecting the reversed Fool and Louis projecting the reversed Ace of Cups and the reversed Seven of Cups. I literally have no idea where their relationship stands currently, I haven't really followed either of them closely in years, but just based on this, there's not an absence of connection, it's more like an anti-connection, it's like a repulsion. Repulsion might be too strong of a word, but basically, Harry with the reversed Fool is like haphazardly breaking off ties or just kind of throwing the connection behind him and leaving a lot of things open-ended, which doesn't give a solid conclusion and therefore The Fool can not initiate the new beginning, which is what the upright Fool is supposed to do.

In the same vein, Louis, with the reversed Ace of Cups, is very emotionally triggered or traumatized in a way. Again, it sounds very dramatic, but they just seem like dramatic ass people here in general. The reversed Ace of Cups feels like popping a child's balloon, or more specifically popping a child's water balloon and having that water spill out all over them. Upright, the Ace of Cups is so overwhelmingly positive and full, very bright energy with a lot of happiness and wholeness. Reversed, it all just comes pouring out on the floor, everything gets broken, it's a big mess, and therefore, there's this need to get away from it, hence that feeling of repulsion. This is elaborated on further as the reversed Seven of Cups refers to the avoidance of a certain issue or denial of reality.

It doesn't feel like there's major bad blood or any major resentment between them, it more so feels awkward and painful, as if they went through war together and then when they got home, in spite of still liking each other, couldn't bear to look at each other because they were a reminder of an overarching situation. There could be tension in their relationship because of this specifically, which could be why things are unresolved in some ways.

Stemming from Harry's projection of the reversed Fool, Louis sees him as the reversed Page of Swords. The Page of Swords is actually like a baby version of The Fool, so this could be mirroring the card directly. In which case, Louis sees Harry as reckless, specifically in the realm of emotions and relationships, he may even see him as selfish, at least in regard to their own relationship or at least with how things ended or went sour, or whatever the hell happened.

On the other end, Harry sees Louis as a combination of the Page of Wands and the King of Wands, both of which seem entirely disconnected from Louis' projection of the reversed Ace of Cups. Both the King and Page of Wands are incredibly positive and suggest that Harry has a positive view of Louis, and just based on what I remember as a 1D fan from back in the day, this is literally how he used to describe Louis. The Page of Wands is energetic, youthful, courageous, playful, and creative. The King of Wands is like a more grown-up version of that, more in control and forthright with creative action and the enforcing of personal will and desire. There's absolutely no acknowledgment of the emotional upset on Louis' end, although, to be fair, Louis never seemed like the type to want to put his emotions on full blast, especially if it made him seem vulnerable or weak.

As things currently stand, their energy mixes together as the Four of Wands, which is very positive and indicates joy, success, and a cause for celebration. Although, in spite of this being a mix, it's not really a full blend. More so, it's like their energies are sitting side-by-side, and they both, individually, have reasons to celebrate, are successful, are experiencing joy, but it's not inherently energy produced by the two of them together.

In terms of where they energetically stood before, or what lead to the current state of things energetically, they have the reversed Three of Wands. The reversed Three of Wands points to stagnation and an inability to progress past a certain obstacle, either one that formed externally or an obstacle that is more mental or emotional. There's an aspect of hesitation or shutting things out, which again, can go into that repulsion thing.

As for a potential future, a potential outlook for the two of them overall, they have the reversed Queen of Pentacles which, unfortunately, doesn't look very solid. The reversed Earth energy suggests poor foundations meaning not much could be built on it, and the reversed Queen herself is usually attributed to jealousy, immaturity, narcissism, and disloyalty. I'd say it would take a lot for them to really be able to fully reclaim that friendship or to even work together professionally, and even if they did, for some kind of reunion or something it would be... awkward to say the least. Of course, anything can happen, it's just a matter of want and trying.
