Card 3 — Knight of Cups
The Knight of Cups carries the energy of Fire and Water meeting in harmony, relating back to the point of the eruption when the flowing lava meets the sea and creates new land. For those of you that chose this card, this may be a sign that someone you know, or someone that you will meet in the near future, is going to assist you in some way in bringing about new foundations or a new way of being. For some of you, this can relate to a romantic partner as the Knight of Cups is known for romance and this connects back to Conception, but for others, this can be a platonic connection that brings about a lot of creative inspiration that helps you to move forward.
Keep in mind that the Knight of Cups is on their own mission as well and you may help them just as much as they help you. This help doesn’t have to just be a matter of creation. The Knight of Cups is associated with Water, with emotion, compassion, and empathy. Guidance, reassurance, and support could be exchanged through simple conversation. Words and feelings can be very powerful.
The Knight of Cups ensures initiation and a new beginning, but don’t feel like you have to wait around for someone to show up to give you a green light. The Knight of Cups is someone who could show up out of the blue, or it could be someone you have to seek out for advice or assistance. Don’t forget you have power and authority in this matter too.
