3/11 - 3/17

This week is about watching things die. It’s a bit grim, but it’s more about letting old habits die and intentionally being part of their execution. Bad habits, old routines, anything that doesn’t work with you anymore, anything that doesn’t contribute to efficiency — time to get that shit out of here.

For some people, it’s a bit more extreme and it came with a note of “sentencing yourself to death,” literally initiating a rebirth to really set the stage for the rest of the year. I suppose it is fitting considering we are in a Mercury retrograde and Spring is just a week away. There’s a lot of energy mixing around between the Sun, Mercury, Saturn, and Mars and it can contribute to that efficiency that seems to be very important right now. It can get behind you and help you push for better practices and habits, smoother schedules, much more beneficial routines to help you be as productive as possible.

A lot of this will and should stem from self-assessment and the assessment of your relationship with what you do and how you do it out in the physical world. It’s very quick as well like we should be putting things into action right away, experimenting, trying things out this week, seeing what fits with the people that we are now after so much has changed internally and externally. It’s a focus on efficiency stemming from Saturn in Capricorn with a mix of analysis and action from Mars and Mercury.

These energies together are not the type to force you into anything, these are more like tools you can use now. There was a lot of emphasis on participating and being in control. Some of the notes that I had written down were “stabilization through destabilization,” as in an act of deconstructing how you function now, and “play the game, get the prize,” or needing to make the effort in order to see any of the results.

So, it’s a great opportunity this week to not only think about better ways to get your shit done, but to also implement them and experiment. I’m sure it will be a great week for everyone!

There’s a lot of momentum here with these two as it falls in line directly with the whole “stabilization through destabilization,” thing, literally finding what is not for you through self-assessment, and then immediately letting it go. There’s a big need to really pay attention to yourself, especially within your current routine. It seems like there’s a lot of baggage that isn’t really necessary or beneficial anymore, a lot of extra weight to carry that probably should have been let go a while back. There’s emotion attached to the Orphaned card, a fear of not wanting to let things go, but be mindful of the fact that this is completely in your control. It’s like you’re sitting in the car with the keys in the ignition, and no one else but you can press on the gas pedal. The changes that you want to make and that you know you need to make are only going to happen if you set them into motion. This week for Water Signs feels more like spring cleaning than an actual purge, so don’t be afraid of really taking part and making some new moves for yourself.

This is literally teamwork at its finest. Visually, I was seeing this as someone having had packed up all of their stuff in preparation to move out of their home and then calling all of their friends to come and help them get the boxes in the moving truck. It’s an active state of transition that requires a bit of help to get over the last few hurdles. Whether it be something that you have to ask for or something that just shows up on your doorstep, take the help that you need in order to get to that new space, that new way of thinking or doing things. A lot of clarity can come from having more than one set of eyes, and that may be something you really need this week.

It seems like you guys are the mad scientists this week as that aspect of experimentation really falls heavy here. In my mind, Imagine and To Be Fair come together as “creative solutions,” the new routines, the new way of doing things, all of it being put into action as part of a test to see what sticks. It’s seeing all of the options and possibilities and holding no judgment towards any of them. It’s a new space and time that you are dealing with and sometimes routines and habits are the last things holding us to the past. Be proactive this week, liberate yourself, really just set yourself up for a completely fresh start. Whether it be work related, incorporating new hobbies, fitting in time for health and exercise, anything at all, just put it into action right away and see how it fits in with who you are now. Try your best to get away from the sense of obligation or pressure. “Efficiency” and “Liberation” were words I was getting a lot for Fire Signs.

Time and effort need to be put towards you and your health, both mental and physical. Most of you probably have your set routines, habits, hobbies, and you’re committed to them because you know them already. A lot of you are really locked into what you know to be efficient and beneficial, but here you are being asked to bring in more “play time,” something fun and relaxing, something to refresh you during the week. “Milk and Honey” and “By The Book” are cards that oppose each other, one being free and open and the other being very strict and formal. The image of the baby elephant following the others and the baby elephant that is splashing around in the bowl of milk and honey are both you. There needs to be a balance between work and play. If you are someone who deals with stress due to pressure with work or school, this may be something you need to focus on even more. Having time to relax and reset can greatly contribute to your performance within your regular routine.
