There is only a little over a week of Cancer Season left, and I was going to just let this reading go undone, but with my own current struggle bus that I’ve been on and some revelations I’ve made recently with my own readings, I figured I’d give a collective reading a go to see if anything similar came up that may be of use to some of you. This will be a short one, mostly focusing on the cards, but it seems pretty interesting.

First off, astrologically speaking, there is a lot of stimulation in the sign of Cancer right now, so I would suggest focusing on whichever House Cancer rules for you in your chart, as well as the following House, ruled by Leo. A lot of what came up energetically really seems to be this sort of revving up, this stimulation that is driving itself forward into the realm of Leo. With that comes a lot of these references to creation, creativity, personal will, and self-expression.

The main three cards, Gaia, Fertility, and Soul Time, all mention something about creation or embracing some level of a new reality. The cards that supplement them — Endurance, Ostentation, and Romance — ground them all into these aspects of drive and movement toward creation. Specifically, Romance over Soul Time seems to beckon the marriage or the unification of the Soul and the conscious mind, a recognition of Divine Inspiration and personal desire.

Endurance over Gaia feels like wrestling Ego, the more negative aspects of the Ego that could hold you back or cause you to give up before you even start. The aspect of Endurance itself is like holding out, not letting yourself give up before you are actually able to hit the gas pedal and start going. There’s recognition there of things around you moving slower than you may like them to, causing you to feel stuck or out of control, and therefore you, on the inside, within yourself, have to stay above your own Ego, stay more in line with the Soul’s desire, hold out for the opportunity to actually pursue it.

Ostentation over Fertility is very on the nose with the idea of reaching for the highest thing on the highest shelf. If you think of it as planting seeds, it’s like getting the most expensive seeds, working to mix and create the most fertile and nutrient-rich soil, and creating a stable greenhouse just to get the absolute most out of your work. It’s doing the most for the most.

So, basically, just looking at them in that order, Soul Time/Romance is that Divine Inspiration, that passionate goal that is itching to be pursued and fulfilled, just the idea or a breath of potential existence literally floating through space and time waiting for someone or something to grab onto it and pull it into a physical form of some kind. Gaia/Endurance is the act of holding onto that vision, believing in it beyond any doubt or perceived obstacle, especially the ones that we make for ourselves mentally. Then, Fertility/Ostentation is the potential of actual initiation, the point where you’re no longer revving your engine, but are actually flying down the road toward your desired destination. You’re not necessarily sure what the road on the way will be like, how many bumps you’re going to hit, or how many detours you may have to take in order to avoid accidents or construction, but you’re still going full-speed with nothing but the idea of the fullest fulfillment of your desires.

The cards that came out for the Internal and External Guidance were very interesting too. For the External Guidance, which focuses more on the superficial and conscious level relation of the collective with the outside world we have messages like, “let it shine,” “claim your independence,” and “surrender now.” With the Internal Guidance, which is meant to provide some advice for how to navigate things mentally, emotionally, or spiritually in relation to the main three cards, the messages are, “don’t let pride get in your way,” “surrender to the Divine,” and “a new start is coming.”

Externally, there is this push to really sink into the Soul, putting the “let it shine,” and “surrender now” together to bring about this allowance of the Soul to be a leading force, let passion, creativity, and personal desire be a leading force as you move into Leo Season. Claiming independence is a key factor there as a lot of the time we consciously and subconsciously function through filters of outside opinion or expectation, bending and breaking ourselves in order to be accepted or to find the easiest, most comfortable, and well-worn paths possible to avoid any sense of being lost or alone. Understandable, of course, but here there seems to be such a big opportunity for expansion and fulfillment that can only come from really bringing the Soul into the front and center of consideration. Independent thought, independent perception, independent belief, and independent pursuit can be very important when working with the Soul as a guiding light mainly because the Soul doesn’t want to be filtered by anything on the outside, or on the inside, like the Ego — and of course, the Ego is oftentimes completely made up of components that come from outside opinion and expectation.

When it comes to the Internal Guidance, there’s more focus on the aspect of trusting yourself, your Soul, and what the Universe as a whole has in store these upcoming months, especially in the realm of expansion and creation. Surrendering to the divine, a point repeated from the External Guidance, and the message of not letting pride, or the Ego, get in the way, brings up again the unification of the Soul and conscious mind, or of the conscious mind and the Universe as a whole, whichever you would prefer to focus on here. The last message there, “a new start is coming,” felt more like a reassuring affirmation for anyone that is doubting their current position, feeling stuck, or are on the verge of giving up. A new start is, without a doubt, on the horizon.

Remember Endurance, remember to hold out and to stay focused, keep those dreams alive, keep the awareness of your Soul, your passions, your inspirations, and your desires. Throughout Leo Season, and maybe through the rest of the year as well, there seems to be a lot of potentials for people to really break out of old foundations and start something new. There’s a very organic feel to this coming from that influence of Gaia, Fertility, and Soul Time. It makes me think of The Empress in the Rider-Waite Tarot deck specifically. She plants her seeds, her desires, in line with diving timing, by the stars and seasons, and then allows them to grow naturally without any push or pull from her after. However, because she exercises patience and plants those seeds at the right time and allows them to grow naturally, she always ends up with the biggest harvest possible, the purest of her own manifestations. There’s a key here in the idea that we shouldn’t be aiming for the fastest harvest, but the fullest.

Card Notes For Reference:

Gaia: The frequency of Gaia reminds us that we are infinitely connected to one another just as we are to our Great Mother, and to the Universe that birthed us all.

Fertility: The frequency of Fertility invites us to be more open, more courageous, more creative, and more joyful than we were before. It activates the potential for something beautiful to grow from our consciousness into a new and grander expression of ourselves.

Soul Time: The frequency of Soul Time asks us to allow the possibility of a new reality to emerge — one that embraces the concept that, while the corporeal body is mortal, the soul is timeless, limitless, and infinite.
