Leo Season 2024 Collective
Leo Season 2024: July 22 - August 22
At the very center, the word FARMER lays over The Storm which already paints an interesting picture of the general collective energy that will be at play throughout Leo Season. On one hand, The Storm spells out trouble for the Farmer as plans for the initial plowing and planting of the fields are affected by the sudden change in weather. For other Farmers in Leo Season, this storm, though sudden and loud for everyone equally, suggests refreshed and rejuvenated soil that will only support and amplify the growth of the desired harvest going forward. For everyone, Leo Season will mark some kind of wake up call or check point of clarification all for the sake of locking into place some of your steps for the journey forward.
At the head of the spread, Gaia puts a focus on the energy of the environment, bringing to mind the soul of Gaia versus the physical form of Mother Earth. This alongside Happy, Happy, the Lizard, and Decision, there’s an emphasis on generating energy, matching energy, and directing or driving energy with deliberate intent, further expanding on that idea of everyone operating as a Farmer in Leo Season.
The Lizard feels like an energetic slingshot that is just buzzing to get moving, with Happy, Happy the one setting the aim and Decision being the bird’s-eye-view of the desired targets that are on display and within reach. With Happy, Happy in such a prominent position, it feels like maintaining a happy or optimistic outlook is crucial for being able to hit the markers of Decision, and may even decide whether or not you see those opportunities at all.
In the image of Decision, the woman in blue mirrors the fairy in blue in Happy, Happy. This affirms the sense of Happy, Happy’s vision being what directs the Lizard’s energy toward Decision, mobilizing her on or toward the chess board or battle field. In the image of Decision, the golden hues of the chess board are juxtaposed by the dark shadows of the mysterious doorway in the upper right-hand corner. This cross between light and dark reflects the image and message of the Solar Eclipse on the far right. All together, this seems to put significance on perspective, perception, and your ability to navigate and guide yourself on a path or through a strategy that you have constructed for yourself. Going back to the mix of Farmer and The Storm, this can demonstrate the significance of co-creation and personal alignment with the Universe or natural flow and order alongside personal desire and achievement.
The sign of the Solar Eclipse suggesting shadows over the board, missing links, blindspots on the current path or within the current plans, brings us into the lower half of the reading. Where the top half seems mostly stimulated and illuminated by Fire and Light energy, the lower half of the reading is more steeped in Water energy. At the head there is The Moon, followed by the Third Eye’s Visualisation, the Full Moon in Scorpio, and the Electric Eel. Another Decision card from another deck came out in the center, carrying the same energy of the original one up top, but painted in a different light.
On the lower half, the image of Decision feels like the chess board from up top was shaken up and all of the game pieces were scattered around the table. The image of the lower Decision, showing multiple arrows falling and pointing in different directions, is meant to point to the pressure and overwhelm of decision making while on the move, and here it feels more like someone’s travel bag was ripped open and spilled out on the floor of the airport.
With focus on The Moon and Visualization, even with the Full Moon in Scorpio, a full illumination of the 8th House energies, there is a suggestion of having hidden elements, either from the inside out, as in your own bad behavior or influences, or from the outside, bad people or environment, being brought to the surface, brought into the light in order for you to see what you’re really working work and how to move forward.
The Electric Eel on the end holds the message, “bring your ideas to life,” and something that feels very connected to the lightning bolt of The Storm. It’s a very quick and sudden realization or action that occurs that either brings clarity or sets something in motion, some kind of “natural disaster” starts moving and brings everything back into balance. Again, for some of you, as the Farmer, you will be brought a sudden spark of inspiration or energy that gives your crops a jump start, but for others, that first crack of lightning gives you a camera-flash glimpse of something you never wanted to see, a problem you never wanted to face, and it can really throw you off your game. For everyone, however, this is clearly something that’s going to change your life overnight, or at least it’s going to put you on a whole different path and you’re going to look back at some point in Leo Season as the point of no return.
In the lower center, the astrological focus for Leo Season is presented with Aquarius, Mercury, and the 1st House. Collectively, these energies feel reflective of tension between the individual, marked with the 1st House of self-focus and Mercury’s personal lens and point of observation, and the greater collective community, marked by Aquarius. For everyone, Leo Season is a great time to make yourself the main character and to focus more on making yourself happy, stable, and ensuring your own future success for the life that you are responsible for. The focus is on the 1st House, your house, your mind, body, space, and energy, is the main focus. How you interact with the outside world or how you allow the outside world to influence your own personal world is what is being brought into question here. Just like the Farmer with The Storm, this situation could mess you up, it could just be a minor inconvenience, but across the board, this is a great opportunity to see where the leaks are, where the holes in the fences are, so that things can be optimized and ensured for the season.
Down at the bottom, the last four cards mark different areas of life and how the energies of Leo Season will be hitting them for the general collective. First, the general energetic state is represented by the 9 of Cup while the physical and conscious experience and influence is represented at the other end by the Knight of Swords. The 9 of Cups feels connected to Happy, Happy, a reflection of the necessary optimism and illuminated perspective that is required for addressing, adjusting, and maintaining progress forward. The 9 of Cups is an abundance of positive, optimistic energy that is available to everyone who is willing to tap into, resonate with it, and put it to use. The Knight of Swords is another marker suggesting that many of you will experience these realizations, alterations, or inspirations very suddenly and with a lot of surprise, but it will ultimately spark movement and change.
Both the 9 of Cups and the Knight of Swords focus inward and move toward the two reversed cards in the center, the Knight of Pentacles and the Seven of Cups. The Knight of Pentacles is representing the inner world, or the energies or influences of the emotions, creativity, or intuition, and the Seven of Cups is representing energy around relationships or personal connections. As suggested with Aquarius, Mercury, and 1st House, issues arising in the space of emotions and relationships becomes a focus here is something that is shown to best be addressed with an optimistic outlook but a firm hand.
The reversed Knight of Pentacles in this deck comes with a warning about allowing your emotions that are rooted in past events to dictate how you operate and make choices in the present. The reversed Seven of Cups is about avoiding reality and sometimes being so overwhelmed by reality that you start to lose sight of things, or the images become distorted and a false version of reality starts to be believed. Essentially, there is energy generated through the collective towards relationships being put through a few pressure systems in order to peel back a few layers of skin and make sure everything is still moving the way you and everyone involved want them to still be moving.
Both the Knight of Pentacles and the Seven of Cups feel disoriented in their current positions as their images settle into and conform to their current states. By that I mean, with the Knight of Pentacles in reverse, the branches on the Knight’s head start to look like roots that are lodged securely in the ground rather than an image representing lost or scattered thoughts. In the same vein, the image of the Seven of Cups starts to look whimsical and dreamlike, with the color dripping upward, leading one to believe that what is being looked at is nonsense, something that can’t be figured out and dealt with, rather than an issue that just needs to be looked at closer and with more time.
That’s all I have for collective reading.
